What strains are you sexing out Bobby?

G13 x OG Kush: House of Love
Peyote Purple: Cannabiogen
ECSD x Casey Jones: People Under the Stairs
Grapefruit x Blueberry: Chimera
Glo: Spice of Life
Grand Daddy Kush: Ken's
Galadriel: Rez
G13 Diesel x Geisha: Foomar
Erdpurt: Esbe
Chemdog IBL x Casey Jones: People Under the Stairs
SFV x OG Kush: House of Love
Gonzo #2: Rez

I can understand about not wanting to have any extra plants to feed/take care of.

So you expect to see signs of sex from them at about 4 weeks of age (think you mentioned they are about 2 weeks)

Probably. I don't really keep up with stuff like that.

I've already got mothers, and clones ready, so these are strictly for finding keepers.

I ended up putting them in their own tent. The little drink cups I put them in are not very stable, and I was afraid they would get knocked over in the main room.

I started with about 1.5lb. of worms per 20 gallon container. My 5 gallon containers I started with about 30 worms per.

Every month or so I have been top dressing crab shells, alfalfa meal, kelp, and azomite. Also once per month I top dress an IPM mix of Neem leaf(not cake), lavender flowers, rosemary, and patchouli leaves.

I do hella foliars as well. The latest addition to my foliars is Moringa powder, willow bark, kelp, and alfalfa tea. Google moringa if you don't already know. Not many people using it for growing plants, but it has many benefits.

Still using compost tea. a plant based tea. EM1(I know, I know), but it brings out the frost, and it's easy. I also have been using Lush roots from dragon fly earth medicine. I only use it in flower from weeks 1 through 6-7. Not in veg at all. It's not worth spending the money. I may just buy a custom mixed mini drum of a similar mix from India in the future as their blend isn't exactly what I would like to use. It is also very expensive too.

I have changed things up a bit, and may add to my recipe leak thread soon. Honestly the best way to see is instagram. Although my shit's private because it's not just about growing. :)

Here's a recent Compost tea I made. There are some baby flagellates feasting off of the plentiful bacteria that are bouncing off of the piece of organic matter to the right.

They extended an invite. I hope to get a couple of strains in. There is a fight about a guy who got bounced by them after the 420 bowl...It seems along with my favorite glass-blower unfortunately.(I KNOW the guy was in the wrong but don't know about my glass-blower).
The gal who runs the haberdashery seems squarer than most in all of this. And she really wants to make this great. The Harvest fest was a kick! But lacking if I am to be honest. The vids say more than I can: https://www.facebook.com/mjghi/videos/o.1494965604136933/1039089432779723/?type=2&theater

I hope with time and patients(pun) it might become a great event.
Give it a try just to see...Buy a ticket and get plastered???
I think with time these events will find their way into something VERY cool...They just need nurturing like our favorite girls that make it all possible.
End of Jan if I remember??? I hope no-one steals my entry again! I want a pendant!

Last weekend in January, I still need to get my ticket...

The categories for entries are flower, edible, and concentrate. The cost for each entry is $50 for lab testing. The amount you must enter for each entry are 35 grams for flower, 7 grams for concentrate, and 150 10 mg samples for edibles. The dead line to get entries is January 18th.

Thanks whodat. I may give it a shot. Anyone here know anything about THC University? I believe they're based in Littleton, but courses are online. Was considering taking their classes, looks like some pretty good content.

Apparently you can get a Growers Pass which is the equivalent of a VIP Pass when you enter a category for the Frost Bowl. I don't know if this changes anything for anybody but thought I would mention it. If you already purchased a pass and you plan on entering maybe you can get a refund?

I always find that work power ewc have live cocoons in them. Whenever I use that product and I finish a cycle and dump out the soil I find dozens of red wrigglers in my 5 gal pots. I don't see a problem with adding worms, it's got to be hard to overdo it

NO SUCH THING as too many worms... i mean, if they dont have food they starve and.... what? die and add further fertility to soil?

Just heard back, and your flower entry ($50) actually gets you a grower's pass. Not a bad deal. They also need 45g of flower according to their guy. Just a heads up.

Red wrigglers will survive in aquaponic setups where they are underwater for long periods of time every day. Youd need a heavy fucking soil to drown them suckers.

Wouldn't they just rise/crawl up to the surface like how you see worms all over the place (like on the pavement/streets)after it rains?

Mostly, yes. In a heavy soil I can imagine them having trouble crawling to the top. They can survive for several minutes in water though. Worms are quite hardy I've come to realize.

I've built several aquaponics setups and its quite common to stock your trays with red wigglers. half 55gal drums filled with hydroton and they thrive in there. I've read several places that as long as the water is oxygenated they do just fine.

That's pretty wild, I never would have thought they could make do in a setup like that.

"Unlike many animals who need oxygen to survive, worms have no lungs. Rather, they “breath” with their skin. Worms need to stay moist because oxygen dissolves on their wet skin, sending the oxygen into the worms’ bloodstream. In general, there is not enough oxygen in water to sustain a worm, so a worm will eventually suffocate (i.e., drown) if they are left under water. However, this can take several weeks, and if enough oxygen is dissolved in the water in which a worm lives, the worm could theoretically live indefinitely."
