I mean the old hot Cosby works in a pinch, but there's no beating a nice slow Cosby, just saying.

here is a peek at my mixed spectrum adventure in tents:

^ that's a 600w HPS next to a 315w Ceramic metal halide

So then you are flipping them to make them show?

Also known as sexing.

Seems like you want to argue the semantics of a grow term.

I put my seedlings in the flowering section of my grow to determine if they are male or female. I will then take the males and throw them away, and make mother plants out of the females. Call that whatever you like.

No, I'm just curious. I have heard of doing that to get them to show their sex. I've never heard of any one doing it with that young of plants. Do you see any drag/lag on the plants from sexing them this way?

Not that I've noticed. It may cause a lag.

I just don't like having extra plants to take care of, so this seems the best way to eliminate that.

Chances are I will have to move them to a tent, because they get in the way when watering.

Here's my current notill grow under 2- 600 watt lights @ 3 weeks flower.
I'm running 2- 20 gallon smart pots, and the rest are 5 gallon pots. 18 plants total. After this run I'm just going to switch to using all 20 gallon pots.

This is a panorama photo taken with my phone looking through "grow" sunglasses. I don't get on here a lot as I spend most of my time on instagram now. Thought I would post since I haven't posted in a while

Strains are: gg#4, chocolate thai, love triangle, fire og, diablo og

i'm digging the 30 gals because they are LARGE, but not too large to pick up and carry out / in a standard doorway. i thnk the 40 gal smart pots also will fit, but the 65's def wont fit thru a doorway.

I'm running 4 x 30 gallon pots in one 5'x 10' tent and another 5'x10'
with 2x 65 gallon smart pots and one 40 gallon smart pot.
most pots have 4plants per pot... each transplanted from 3 gallons into the big pots

photosynthesis; what size tent are you in? for some reason i thought 20 gallons would be kinda small for no-till beds... obviously not tho.

I'm using 3.5' x 7' of a 4' x 8' tent. I like the 20 gallon as they are easy for me to maneuver. I still don't have all of my strength back so I can't imagine going with anything bigger at this point. I had 2 other tents going as well, but I took them down because I didn't have the energy to care for them properly. 2016 is my year though! :)

I think ideally you would do soil beds according to light size. I believe it's the geopots that come in 3x3, 4x4, 3x6, and 4x8? Permalos runs those, and they use them in their consulting work. Greenlife productions(a permalos setup) out of vegas is using them on a large scale with LED lights. It's a great setup. they are on instagram if you want to look at what they are doing.

I've seen people run 100, 200, 5, 10, 15, 20, etc... notill indoor, and at this point I like the 20 gallons. Even once I am 100% I will stick with the 20 gallons. They are easy to move, and clean around, and if something does happen with the soil you can shit can one. With the 4x8 beds you can't do that. I guess you can, but you are out a lot more soil.

On a large scale you can veg in the 20's and then move them into a flower room and get them flowering right away. Yes you can do this with the big beds, but a lot more effort will have to be put into using them. Along with some double doors into your flower room.

All of my bullshit rambling aside, I really like running notill indoors. I tried it 3-4 years ago, but was not using worms. The outcome was not the same. :)

Very excilent insites Photo!

I'm doing my first run switching from a ROLS type soil to no tills w the build a soil modern mix.
Can you comment on the amout of worms you might rec per cubic foot?
I hav been wanting to add some in but didn't want to overpopulated my containers.

Do you add any inputs/food just for the worms. Alfalfa kelp.. Top dress.. Botanical teas?

Thanx again for the input.
Big ups respect and happy growing.

thanks for that info... i like more soil in my footprint, seems like my plants in larger pots re noticeably more vigorous, time after time.

also, i just added live worms (red wigglers mostly, some nightcrawlers) to my beds, and am really wanting to add a bunch more, wondering what would be way too much and what if any bad effects of having too many in there would be (obviously wasting a $ on worms that die, perhaps if not provided enough food? or conditions in the soil become extremely inhospitable for them, in which case the plants are fucked also....)
just thinking.... wana add MORE, make my own castings right in the soil.

I can understand about not wanting to have any extra plants to feed/take care of.

So you expect to see signs of sex from them at about 4 weeks of age (think you mentioned they are about 2 weeks)
