Hey Kiloz, thank you for stopping in. I'm really digging these hygrometers. I have 4 stores that carry them around here but they don't seem to hold many at one time. The most I've ever seen there has been 3 or 4. Normally one or two though. So when I see them I try to snag a couple.
Today was also the big day for the 12 x 1 gals I had. It was time for them to get the chop at 95 days 12/12. They are now hanging in the 600w tent drying as we speak. They'll be dried for 7 days, trimmed and thrown into jars. Now for a couple pics.
Just harvested
All 12 hanging up. 6 up top in front and 6 down low in the back.
A shot from below.
A couple bud shots
Still have to dump the 12 x 1 gals into my soil recycling containers and separate the 2 x 5 gals in the right side of the cab. This little project is starting to come together nicely.
Another thing on my list is to order new seeds. The seeds I have must have been stored incorrectly. I wasn't able to get a single seed to sprout after being stored for 4-5 years. And that's with using tons of different methods. I still have a few left, but am not too confident they will sprout. So, I'm thinking of just ordering new. I'm open to any suggestions anyone may have.
So the 12 x 1 gals have been trimmed and jarred. We were able to fill up 3 x 1/2 gallon jars full.
This morning, after a little over a week of curing, I decided to weigh out the harvest from the right side of the cab. It came out to 142g or 5 ounces. Pretty good considering this is my first run with this cab. With some major canopy management, I'm curious to see what happens. Next week, I'll weigh out the left side of the cab and figure out how much we got total.
Now to some pics.
The 4 on the left are the right sides harvest and the 3 on the right are the left sides.
The right sides harvest. 5 ounces/142g from 2 x 5 gals and 4 x 1gals.
The left side. Weigh in next weekend. 12 x 1gals.
All harvest to date. From 600w tent, 8 ounces in 4 jars on left, From 150w left cab, Middle 3 jars weight pending and from 150w right cab, 5 ounces in 4 jars on right.
600w bud.
I also decided to weigh out the 4 jars we filled from the 2 x 5 gals from the 600w tent. We wound up with 224g or 8 ounces. Just got the 600w loaded up with 4 x 5gals so excited to see what we pull now that we've improved the watering and have twice as many plants. Filling the entire space should allow us to pull quite a bit more. The 2 x 5 gals filled less than half of the tent. Have all the parts needed to build some scrogs just need to start working on them.
Thank you for stopping in unregistered190. I'd love to share this experience with friends around my way, but unfortunately, this hobby is frowned upon for the time being. The good news is the movement here is definitely going in the right direction. So one day, I'll be able to help people around here do the same as I.
This show is just getting started! The wifey says she enjoys the smoke, but I'm waiting until they have been curing for at least 8 weeks. The 600w harvest will be 5 weeks on Monday. When that time comes, I'll test it out and let everyone know how it is. With it being bagseed, I doubt it will be anything stellar, but you never know. The extended break I've been taking may prove me wrong haha.
I got the 2 x 5 gals separated into their own spaces. Going to allow the plants to get a little taller and then I'll add the screens to each side.
The whole cab at the moment.

Super excited about this run. I have these 2 plants each under their own 150w and I have 4 more like them under a 600w in a tent. All are getting scrogged with the 600w tent being a modular scrog.
Once this run gets closer to finishing, I'm going to order some real genetics. This bagseed has been more so to see how well the cab runs and to see how well the soil mix is. So far, I'm VERY satisfied with how things have been running. I have a GOOD feeling when I get some good genetics going, they will flourish. Any suggestions for seeds to look into from the Boutique, I'm still open to suggestions.
hey cobra looking nice as hell man ,,I'm really interested in the watering method youre doing cool as hell.as far as the genetics go it's all about what you have a taste for lol i'm running phantom cookie from GDP and purple og #18 from RSVP their pretty smoove if you wanna give them a try
Kiloz, Thank you! I'm liking this cabinet more and more each day!
tleaf jr., Thank you for stopping in. As for watering, I'm using 5 gal home made self irrigated containers. Here's some info on some 1 gals I made and at the bottom, the 5 gals.
So far, they have been working better than any grow I've hand watered. With everything else I have going on and the amount of plants I run occasionally, I needed a way to have more time to do other things, rather than watering. Super simple and super effective so far. All I do is add water into the pvc pipe until I see it start to come out of the drainage hole about 3.75" from the bottom of the outer bucket and that is it.
I'll have to look into those strains. I have a feeling I'm going to be acquiring quite the seed selection in the near future haha. Thank you for the recommendations
So the scrogs are finished and I've attached them to the buckets. The materials I bought worked out PERFECTLY! I used 1/2" PVC for the frames and 2"x2" plastic fencing for the screen. I screwed 4 screws around the tops of the buckets which allows the screws to sit in the pvc pipes to hold it up. They are sitting about 9.5" over the plants and the actual screen dimensions are 20"x18". I used TONS of zipties but I wanted to make sure the screen was taught. So far, I like them. Now I get to play the waiting game and see how they perform.

I'm going to be working on getting the fans placed and running this weekend.
Awesome work dude! Been rocking that beautiful cab nicely! Beautiful plants as well!
One thing I might consider if I was you on your next run would be implementing more soil to your girls, I bet you can fit a 20 gallon pot in each side! That would definitely helps with yield and lower the maintenance need! Either way you are doing a great job! Keep us updated!
A few weeks ago, I decided to set them on trays of perlite to try and get some wicking action to keep them hydrated. If I keep this tent going, I think I'm going to go with 4 x 5 gallon self-irrigated containers
^ you posted the above quite some time ago but in case you still search for the ultimate solution that saves you the hassle with hand watering, i woould like to suggest hempy buckets to you.
there is a lot of knowledge about them here on icm.
myself i love hempy buckets, especially with coco and automatic watering/feeding system. i am sure you noticed down in the burrow
i find this system the simplest way to grow herb (although i haven;t tried ALL methods there are), besides it is pretty idiot proof because it forgives a lot of mistakes.
if you need to know more just ask or look around in the official hempy bucket thread or the coco hempy thread. lots of helpful folks out there.
anyway, back to your grow - pink rabbit is so impressed! keep it green, buddy!
C420 the scrog screen's came out great ! I'm not far behind doing the same . Just waiting for my current girls to finish up., and when i reload ill be doing same, I'm very impressed with the yield you got , mine wont be even close under my dual 150s I might get about three oz at best, but plenty for my needs till next harvest. Its fun to watch yours come along thanks for the show!
Hush, Thank you for the compliments. A bit of OCD is good to have haha.
Buddah Watcha, Thank you for stopping by and the suggestions! I've contemplated going with larger containers just haven't made the jump. I was looking for 10gal buckets but haven't been able to find them local. I have to say, the maintenance is already pretty easy and with this only being my second run, I was quite satisfied with the results. Top off the res from the start and keep it topped off with plain water and that's about it. The only extra work on this run is pulling tops back under the screen. But keep an eye out, I'm trying new things constantly so it wouldn't surprise me if I wind up using larger containers in the future.
NKOTS, Thank you for stopping by and thank you for the suggestions. When I had commented about that, it was for 2 plants I had going in my 600w tent. Since then, I've switched to the same method in there that I'm running in this cab with EXCELLENT results. Add plain water to the res until I get a bit of run off and that's it. A whole lot simpler than hand watering them lol. I don't know too much about the whole hempy bucket thing, but from what I've seen, it is a great way to grow. I'll definitely keep that in mind for some future runs.
atk7, Thank you for the comments. I think I lucked out on that first run. I mean the cab was PACKED lol. I'm going for a cleaner more organized look this go around. I still need to weigh out the last 3 jars and see what I pulled. Maybe I'll try and get to that tonight. I'd love to share my projects with my friends where I live, but unfortunately that won't be happening anytime soon so to satisfy my urge to share, what better way than to bring it to this amazing community. I've learned so much from this place and the least I could do is show people that if you keep at it, you can and will grow some amazing plants.
Now for an update. It's been a few days and the plants have taken OFF! The rate these plants grow amazes me. Huge leaves and tops poking on through the screen. I'm shooting for more larger buds and less of the popcorn this run. So now, for the pics.

The right side.
I have to admit, I'm liking the screen a whole lot more than tying them up. I felt lsting them was so time consuming and I'm looking for low maintenance. Now, I just pull the top under and direct it to a different part of the screen.
Being my first scrog, if anyone has any suggestions or advice, I'm all ears. I'm kind of just winging it at the moment haha. Still feel like they should veg longer so we'll see how it goes. Also, I plan on trimming the undergrowth here shortly, I was thinking about doing a few small sessions over the upcoming weeks. I'm having a very good feeling about this run.
Thanks Hush, I'll continue to do what I'm doing then. It appears to be working well for me so far.
This afternoon, I decided to weigh out the latest harvest from the left side of the cab. It weighed out to 114.08g or 4 ounces. So, all together, on my first run with the cab, it pulled just over 9 ounces total!! 4 o's, 114.08g from the 12 plant sog on the left and 5 o's, 142g from the 6 plant grow on the right. Not too shabby I must say. I'm pretty impressed with these 150w bulbs. Over half a pound is more than enough for the wife and I hahaha.
Now that the scrogs are under way, I'm excited to see what this cab can do. With what I pulled first round, I don't know if I'll be able to yield much more honestly.
I have my eye on a few strains so very soon, I'll be able to start running something other than these bagseed clones I've been running.
