Just stick to my recipe dry air around 40% and stick with temps around 28C 26-30C swings.

And tell me when you finish next time did you see the difference.

You should have a look at JH pics online. Then look at yours you offer as an example of how good you are. Then put them side by side and evaluate your grow again. If you still think you have a recipe we should be following, then you have peaked.

Also, the main purpose of that reply was that not all Led buds turn purple, which snakedope has insinuated on multiple occasions. Ive converted from hps growing for 20 years to Led. If Leds sucked that bad, why would i do that? Ive run 500 1000w hps De as a lead grower in my life. Id never do that again! I used to be super anti Led and came around, so glad I did. I appreciate your opinion! Totally get why people have led troubles its not easy to adapt to.

I can show you Metal Halide and HPS and they look different so get outa here with they look the same with led.
Guess what? Plants express differently under the sun too.

I grow in the sun. I grow indoors when I have to. Sun is superior. I live in socal so it’s hot and dry. I hate growing indoor. I like plants and gardening, not doing hvac, electrical, plumbing, labor, etc, for the impossible task of recreating the earths atmosphere. You can’t do it. You can get close enough where it’s good enough, but you can’t recreate the terroir and atmosphere of my outdoor grow indoors even if you wanted to and had all the money in the world. Same goes for the sun. My sunlight beats all your lights.

You are most likely a commercial grower. Commercial grows don’t cure and even harvest early. Makes sense they want LED the bag appeal and long term cost savings make sense. I grow weed to get high tho. My theory is most commercial weed sucks due to led. The resin heads don’t mature properly it’s mostly stalk.

I’ll do a side by side next year if I get bored. I’m just a hobby grower been growing successfully since 1994.

I used to run large commercial, now i just have something for myself. I chose led based on my personal experiences with all styles of lighting. I ran hps for most of my career but led just beat it out in every category but thats just been my experience. I appreciate your input. Thanks!

Yup.

I did a cmh/led combo that was very satisfactory in depth and quality of high. The resin was fine that formed midway under both lights.

But when under just leds the resin indeed didnt form properly. It's been suggested i had the led array too close to the plants but the canopy temp remained stable at 28c.

I'm now under a hps/cmh combo. 8 wk flowered plants are a little stressed due to brief 30c canopy temps and top leaf margins are curling inwards in an effort to retain moisture but the resin heads are all very plump and some nice large ambers forming, no shrivelled heads at all despite the temps being higher.

I saw your plant pictures....I think you know when you have plants dialed in and when not.

We maybe react to much yesterday and thats it.
But I know that you know those plants can be grown to better potential.

Thanks man, i did say that was my first run in the new space. I have 10+ years of media on here you could check out. Lots of stuff from hps cmh and led. None of the pics show the “sparkle” it really has. In person the product glistens like broken glass. All my pics are shitty phone pics hah. Anyway, im going to remain way more neutral on this forum and only add positive vibes. I appreciate you wanting to help.

Never judge from pics is what I say, except the ones who show 95% stalks no trichomes, then you know there's a problem.

If you have the time and any pics of resin glands up close i'd love to see some amber heads under leds.

I like me some amber in my meds but found getting any under leds rather difficult.

I didn't had that problem under my LM301 panels, some were amber just like a normal grow, but the trichomes lacked glue and oil, stickyness across the board was low, much more stalks then globes, I'm stupid for not taking clones and making the same run under HIDs to know the difference first hand, but the results corralte with other led grows I see.

Yes, i should have elaborated a bit more.

I saw some brown heads under leds, but not many and they were brown and shrivelled and lacking moisture, not amber translucent glistening heads.

I'm biased...I know

It could well have been that the light was too close.

Shriveled is the word that matches what we see lol, shriveled heads with long necks, mostly... On the flip side I do see some led grows that looks killer, so I dunno also, why people are so pissed when internet trolls speculate about tech and stuff is beyond me.
If you bought a led array or hid then all of a sudden you have stocks in the led or hid company's or some ? Lol
Keep it cool we just diss iron and metal not you as growers
