~This Pink Grapefruit Pheno Smells Sweet as Candy~
...a friend of a friend has had this particular cut of c99 since the late 90's and she traveled quite a distance to end up in our grateful hands...
....she is a very special plant to us in more ways than one....







yikes!.. gosh, i tried to stay steady this morning but some are a bit blurry... hope to get more good ones at harvest time... the difference in these plants are roughly a week or so and some SdV3 pollen is added to one of them...

unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to try the pineapple pheno... but if it's cindy it's got to be good... lol...

Well, it's like comparing apples and oranges... er... Pineapples and Grapefruit... or something like that...

This Pheno is quite unlike the Pineapple Pheno... Very potent and heady, but lacking the raciness of the pineapple pheno... The Flavor and Aroma are what truly make this lady stand out... She smells and taste like Candy... Pink grapefruit or ruby red grapefruit candy...

I am really quite anxious for the seeds to get done, dried, and germ'd... There is no doubt in my mind I'll be pleased with the results...

theres a cut out there called the Sweet Pink Grapefruit(SPG) i was wonderin if this is the same cut, or different. Vic used it at BCGA, and Breeder Steve i think is the one that found it. my memory is weak these days. maybe the SPG was from the grapefruit line.

I am told that In 1999 a European hobby breeder who was a member on OG but wishes to remain onomious purchased a single pack of Bros. Grimm Cinderella 99 seeds. In 2000 he got around to growing them out, and took clones. I hear he is a very smart grower and among those plants he grew out he found a single plant of the Pink Grapefuit pheno. The mother has existed ever since, and has always remained in Europe, mostly confined to the breeders' country of residence. Until some folks decided to get crazy and risk it.....and voilà!
Pink Grapefruit Cindy found her way over 6000 miles of ocean to us.
The rest is history...in the making
Some of the IC members we able to sample some of her sweetness via BlueV who was so very nice to treat us all at the non-cup 2006....
