It would become more challenging to find a pheno other than what was selected for in the parents of the f2s and of the f3s... Selection will narrow the field somewhat, as far as phenotypical variation... certainly as far as genotypical variation... Could you tell me what differences I may see from an F1 to an F3? Doesn't it become more challenging to find the pheno type you want? Or does it become stable? I don't really know, did some reading but I get confused.
