I can't tell you, as I don't know Europe.. hopefully some others can chime in..

you want the 942 for veg, the 930 agro for flower. here's a link to show you the bulbs, veg and flower

here's a site I found ( Netherlands ) that has the 942 / 930 lamps

Does the 942 bulb make a big difference in veg? The 930 bulb isn't very good for veg nor flowering, sure it yields well, but the quality isn't as good as I'm used to. Still considering buying the 942 bulb even though they're expensive.

Hey DGS, you have to explain the difference between the daylight and the agro/greenpower lamps to the people who answer your companys phone. In the end I havent found anybody selling the greenpower 315w in the uk yet.

I was talking about them! eheheh. They just sell it in bulk I was told over the phone.

Is there any technical difference between the elite agro 315w and the new greenpower 315 cmh or it just got a new name and packaging?

Cheers

No, they just changed to package and renamed it to GreenPower when the dPapillon was made.
They say it has a bit more red...

Yes the elite agro has 3000°K, the new greenpower (specifically designed for horticoltural use) has 3200°K
I have both bulbs and I can see a bit difference in lighting....I'm still waiting for the end of the first run to verify even difference in the colas/tricome ecc. ecc.

This is not true:huggg: the new bulb is specifically designed and naming greenpower takes to build customer loyalty....anyone who knows Philips, knows that greenpower aka confidence. :tiphat:

quality as in veg?

not sure yet, as I'm using my 942 on a "extra tent" I built to finish out a grow I had going on..

I will get to see soon, but the color is alot more "bluish" so I would expect it to do very well.

PAR I'm getting in my 2x2 tent with it is about 1000 PAR 6 inches away, with the middle being more 1300 PAR. but I would guess anything you put in it is going to grow with those levels.. I would love to build a 1600 PAR tent sometime, hopefully soon..

in a way Stoogots and DGS are both right, this is how it really is:

there are 3 type of 315W CMH protected lamps:

942 = 4200 Kelvin lamp (crisp white 33% blue in spectrum, 550 µmol PAR)

930 = 3100 Kelvin lamp (this is the "normal" orange CDM bulb, 570 µmol PAR)

GreenPower 930 AKA Agro = 3200 Kelvin lamp (this is a rebrand of the US Agro 315W bulb and now available in the US and EU as GreenPower, 600 µmol PAR)

Philips messed up the names a bit, and the Kelvin values vary a bit.
for example if you look at:

http://www.ecat.lighting.philips.com/l/lamps/high-intensity-discharge-lamps/ceramic-metal-halide/mastercolor-cdm-t-elite-med-wattage/928601167102_na/

you see that they state 4 different Kelvin values for the same bulb...

but basically only the 942 and GreenPower are significant for indoor growing.

I don't know that I fully agree with this. I got a killer price on a case of the T9 (single-jacket) 930's prior to the introduction of the Agro's, and they work very well for growing. I've since picked up an Agro, and found that also works very well. In the future, I intend to do a side-by-side to see how much difference there really is, but haven't gotten to it yet.
