Making some seeds. Just grew from some very old seeds. AE77 x Uzbek and some Cali-O S1. I can see those Cali-O plants needed a little beefing up and the AE77 x Uzbek will do just that. I Bred these about two weeks ago and now just waiting for the seeds to get ripe. My 3 Cali-O S1 girls will be putting out a shit load of F1 seeds. I really wanted to see straight Cali-O but this cross is the best that I can do. Later, Stash

I HAVE UNKNOWINGLY BEEN SMOKING CALI O ORANGE RED BUD WHATEVER YOU CALL IT for weeks. I actually enjoyed the light flavor of citrus with a skunky base. and the not super heavy hitting stone is nice as well. Especially for me. My buddy gave me 20 smaller than usual modern hybrid seeds that were just perfect uniform tiger striped representations of quality seed. After seeing it labeled red bud and knowing the properties i instantly knew it was cali o. I havent ever grown these out but have seen the process and end product. That old timer held on to these for a reason and that reason being it is suited well for the appalachian mountains!!!. our area mimicking humboldt in a way which is very similiar to mazari i sharif terroir.

I crossed cali-o s1’s to white91/tk stardog. I had a bunch of different cali-o pheno, even a super sativish plant.

Hi 420 Alaska. This is my first post, I’ve been looking for the real Cali-o myself for a long time. I had it back in the early 90s and to make a long story short I lost it in 1999 and been looking for it ever since. Have you had any luck finding S1 seeds from Cali-o or AE77? I know this is an older thread, and im taking a shot in the dark, but if anyone has S1s please PM me, I have other nice seeds for trade.

Well here’s a great great great great grand daughter…Freak Tangie Auto plant pollinated with pollen from a previous
Tangie auto.( I am praying that I am successful in getting Seeds) I have never seen a Tangie plant like this before…
(I used STS process on a previous Tangie auto & it male flowered @ day 54 & grew till 112 days—actually pollinated itself as well and produced 12 Teenie weenie seeds that look like seed Tics… I have not grown yet)…
I’ve grown quite a few Tangie’s and never had one this sativa dominant and large over 20 tops on it @ day 40, probably about 45 to 50 days to go for ripeness. .She’s been Super cropped and LST several times now!

Looking for that real orange too!lol man that was the bees knees in the early 90's in Compton,it was the "rapper weed" of today... .8 for $20 lol
Pretty sure what you were smoking was Orange Crush. Shit was everywhere in the 90s. Not sure if it's related to the Vic high seed line but that's what everyone called the orange bud in that area at the time.

Orange Crush was GREAT !

Original Cali-O x Blueberry.

It was the fastest sprouting seeds ever.

All 5 seeds in Rockwool, up within 24 hours

A very memorable grow.

I also grew Skunk x Afghani from Marc Emery, in that batch, which may not sound like much, but it was high quality potent bud.

Yeah man, orange crush was some really good smoke. I remember having a dude out in Huntington Beach, and one in Carson which is next door to Compton. They both had the same exact thing. Some crew was blowing it the fuck out for sure. Damn I miss that weed.

Dankwolf, your 2004 description of Sensi is of their California Indica, which is a known cross of the California Orange and an Afgani, I believe. This is not the description for the Cali Orange. Thank you for all your information.Greatly appreciated.
Same thing. People were expecting an orange taste, but it was an orange appearance. Hence the name change.

Stoked to see this thread get bumped.

- Orange bud was made I the early 70s by Jerry b........something
- presoviet ghani x mexican (possibly thai too)
- cali indica is cali-o x Mr nice
- alot of rumors going around "sam" used cali-0 to make sk1. Which isn't skunky at all.

from my friends research, the original Cali-O was taken to Amsterdam by clone, and that seeds of the California Orange Bud, aka Cali-O don't exist.
If Sam the Skunkman did indeed take it over to A-Dam, he made a post in Feb. 2016, where he says that he only sold Nevil seeds, no varieties. I take that as nothing in clone form.

I'm just trying to create an upbeat daytime strain that tastes great, looks great, is great for motivation, a real daily driver, if you will, without getting couch locked like a lot of the newer strains
If you can find sweet pink grapefruit,or sweetooth#3,i grew them both multiple times, amazing sharp gelrapefruit taste/smell and the high was incredible!the happiest, upbeat fumtime strain i ever smoked!!you might want to find some of these seeds if they exist still....i know the spg cut still floats around.
