California Orange aka Cali-O (for breeding)

The humbolt look to be green house product.

From what i have gathered alot of hash plant × cali-o/orange has been done with great results. I cant say from personal experience but i hear the cali-o/orange strains breed true to there terp profile even with vary strong breeds but lack the thc numbers that people want to purchase . cali-o/orange strains are known for a great taste and smell that holds true over time unlike many of todays genetics . my understanding is there best used for the male side of a cross but like i said i have not played with any citrus strains for the most part.

C+ seems interesting :)

I'm just trying to create an upbeat daytime strain that tastes great, looks great, is great for motivation, a real daily driver, if you will, without getting couch locked like a lot of the newer strains

I used to have the ae77. I got it off CW back in the day with ghost bubba kush and a few others. It lacked potency and was let go, biggest mistake in my growing career. Ive been trying to get it back but the handful of people that kept it are hard to connect with in person for an exchange or have an extremely tight grip on it.

Do you know of any known sources, such as dispensaries, or collectives, that carry the real deal? have you heard that the ae77 cut was Cali-O before taken to A-Dam in early 80's?

I second this.

I second this.

Sam_Skunkman, If you happen to see this, is it possible to confirm if this is true? I found this quote on an old forum and now can't find who said it. The claim is that the Aeric 77 cut is the original before it went to A-Dam long ago. Thank you to anyone with information on this.
"If you're looking for Cali-O (AERIC 77, California Orange) you can find that at Dutch passion and others as well. Chimera uses the original Cali-O cut "Aeric 77" in some of his breeding. The Aeric 77 cut is just the original cut before it was sent over to amsterdam a very long time ago (decades). Cali-O or California Orange or Aeric 77 IS KNOWN FOR ITS ORANGE CITRUSY AROMA AND TASTE"

Figured i would bring request back to the top.

If i had a good orange male .i would Pollenate a high thc female that has good bag appeal and preferably is a recent 3 way cross if possable or at least a recently created genetic strain with strong traits that you want that are not repersented in yoyr orange male . they key for me if i were you would be to not only meet your goals through planing but also have strong hybrid vigour .

I dont have alot of time right now so i will elaborate/explain reasoning at a more convenient time here soon if you would like ?

I think your goals are vary achievable. I will post up how to help predict terp out come of crosses later.

Dankwolf, that would be amazing. I would love to hear your input when you have the time available. Much appreciated from the Last Frontier

Whose got that real deal Cali-O? I know you are out there. If you live on the West Coast, those are my roots. I'm from the Left Coast, Oregon, and have no problem traveling to Cali to secure the real deal if it can be verified, clone or seed. I have other business to handle there as well, and am always up for adventure.

Hi 420 Alaska,
You can try Chimera. He auctioned off a pack of
CALI-O S1's not to long ago,not sure if he plans to ever do it again.
He put up just one pack of those along with some other long gone strains.

You should definitely give the Homegrown Fantaseeds CaliO a try, you just described the sativa pheno ;)

Have you looked into Chimeras' C+ ( Cali-O x Blueberry ) has the high you describe.
Needs a pheno hunt IMHO as the few I grew, the citrus smells were a little muted but others have found them, great yeilders though and easy to grow.
Years ago I grew Cali-O x Skunk from Positronics/Sinsemillia fanclub and orange citrus terps were there, right off the bat. Very Cali- O Dom.

Yes. Thank you. C+ is another one to acquire. I would love to get 4-5 of the best pheno' of their representative strains, do an open pollination of those... Looking for something wildly creative and flavorful.

There was an episode of hash church where Sam talked about Cali-O, just as he was going into it, I lost internet connection and missed it, does anyone remember what episode that was? I think it was this year???

I'll try and look it up tomorrow and see if I can find the episode.
On a side note, I have a Long Valley Royal Kush that smells so amazing. I'm going to cross it with my Orange Juice male and it should smell and taste outstanding.

Still hoping Sam_Skunkman sees this before its buried. Haha

Bumping...

Im still searching for some conclusive info on the strains genetics,
maybe Sams genetic testing could close the book on it, or he may know the history seeing as its likeley related to sk1.

The aeric calio from seed (s1) has light green foliage and is quite delicate looking...
Shows preflowers early along with the double serrations.

Very faint smell compared to an average skunk or hashplant,
I see Thai in it but thats just me being whimsical.
