Butte County

Mendocino County was one of six North Coast counties to be recognized for work over the past year on the North Coast Marijuana Policy Statement that addressed the regional impacts of marijuana.

Last month, Mendocino, Del Norte, Lake, Humboldt, Sonoma and Trinity counties received the California Counties Collaboration Award from the California State Association of Counties. "

Some county leaders do the work for their people and get awards, our county is a leader in figuring out how to arrest their people.

I haven't talked to anyone who has gone through the abatement hearing process, nor anyone who was tagged that has had one scheduled. I saw a trailer full of plants being abated in Yuba County this morning, but didn't see anything going on in Butte County.

I was in Cherokee, and realized the big bust on Cherokee Road was a customer. He didn't speak a word of English, but the bank took the money he paid me just fine.

Sheriff and CE were out near Garner Lane and 99 yesterday.

To 194 Undisclosed Recipients:
CA. Regional Water Control Board (Central Valley Region) Adopts New Marijuana Standards:
They have determined that the outdoor growing of 12 or more immature or 6 or more mature plants causes a significant impact on water quality.
Requires that all growers exceeding the 6/12 standard file a Report of Waste Discharge. The Report would include a map of the growing operation and how the operation would prevent discharge damage to water quality.
Requires the grower to allow for reasonable inspections by Water Control or Fish and Wildlife staff.
Requires an annual permit with fees ranging from $1,000.00 to $10,000.00 per year.
Any violations of the new regulations could result in a fine of $10,000.00 per day.
Editor's Comments: This is just one more tool in cracking down on and eliminating the growing of marijuana for sale and trafficking. These reports and permits will be Public Information. Any outdoor grower that is above the 6/12 standard and does not have a permit on file can be turned in to the Water Board. Funds have been provided for a joint Water Board/Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Task Force. The Water Quality $1,000.00 to $10,000.00 annual permit fee should make the Yuba County Indoor Growing Fee of $441.00 much more appealing. To get more information on the Water Control Boards action go the the California Regional Water Control Board, Central Valley Region Website or contact their Assistant Executive Officer, Clint Snyder at (530) 224-3213
Assemblyman James Gallagher and Senator Jim Nielsen invite you to a California Water Commission Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 6 pm at the Sutter County Veterans memorial Hall, 1425 Veterans Memorial Circle, Yuba City. Here is your opportunity to have your voices heard about water issues.

:dunno:

That website could be much more effective and its a bit confusing.

I'll throw out my basic web/programming skills again, let me know if anyone needs help. Is the butte website idea basically scratched?? A different and free WordPress theme could make the csaa site polished and professional.

Would you mind just contacting the csaa through the website? Ask for deborah Tharp. Tell her you'd like to help. That'd be awesome man, thank you.

any updates on enforcement people? trying to get a gauge if they are still going hard even though they admitted in the news that "most gardens will self abate themselves soon" due to harvest…..whats the point of even posting letters on gates when you know they will just chop. unless they are trying to bust up some trim scenes…..

saw the raid squad in forbestown yesterday, 2 matching black ford expedition SUVs, unmarked with police bumpers. not SEU but the swat guys who go out into the forests and hike as described in the latest news article.

they are still on it. they have been pressing cherokee hard since wednesday. I am glad to be fucking done with this year. They came to my neighbors house and fucked with him and told him a private citizen chartered a plane to call in complaints.

It's true most gardens will abate themselves but, in Yuba county at least, if CE walks onto your property and sees your plants the fines start running that day at $100 per plant. So, if their goal is to make $ they probably consider it a win to get ya, even if it's at the end.

From the Chico Enterprise Record:

"The numbers are truly staggering. Butte County officials say they’ve documented 2,500 marijuana gardens in the county this year, hundreds of those on public land in national forests. They’ve raided and eradicated about 20 on national forests, ranging from a few dozen plants to more than 9,000."

According to this, they have documented hundreds of grows on public lands, and eradicated 20. So they harass mom and pop grows in bf Egypt because their twelve plants can't fit in "The Box," and ignore hundreds of grows with thousands of plants and aliens with guns? Butte County is such a great place to leave.

Powered Paraglider Over Palermo

I just saw a powered paraglider flying over the hills of Palermo. It was very loud and pretty low, I hope someone nailed it with a rock.

If you're in Berry Creek and have been visited by code of sheriff, more than likely you have Kathy to blame. Here she blatantly admits to calling in gardens that she found off satellite images from the county's department of development website - finding gardens via satellite was a fairly obvious tactic, but the fact she admits to it and then confirms that Butte has visited 16 of those sites is interesting to say the least.

I got hit with the abatement notice.

A month later and I never did a real notice nor did I get the return visit AFAIK. They did love flying me a few times a week though. Was hoping for some good video footage with CE.

I wonder what the legitimacy is of denying them based on their "72 hour abatement" notice going up on gates. Is the notice just "courtesy" or can the case be restarted from that initial process if they don't return within 72 hours?
