Residue didn't smell bad, wasn't greasy, and had no color or tint.

This is their lowest grade, they also have a newer 3X, a 5X and 7X that I'll probably be testing tomorrow, and an 11X. Maybe now they'll get me samples of the newer 3X and the 11X... )

I boiled off the seven cans of Capital N-butane and got a huge surprise, and the change wasn't from my test procedure, it went absolutely perfect. I put my remaining two cans in the freezer and will test them independently to see if they are in line with my original two tests. These two aren't going to be enough evidence to determine whether I just had one really, really bad can, possibly a fluke, among the seven, or if their uniformity is more widespread. I suppose I need another case from Capital, but I'm not spending my own $75 for it... I'll email them and see if they'll send me some more.

The bag as you can see from the pictures, even folded up to make the color stand out, is barely showing yellow tint. The picture the closed looper posted is definitely not what I'm seeing.

Capital N-butane, with seven cans boiled off in the same bag the weight of the residual was 0.188g, divided by seven, comes to 0.027g per can. Yuck!!!

I agree with you man, that was my picture and the first time distilling butane in my system i think there was alot of residul crap in the system itself which is why the color came out like that.

This is a more recent collection of mystery oil from 5 1/2 cans of Capital N Butane, you can barley see a color.

Has anybody tried the new Honey 7x or done any testing on it? I'm not finding much about it but the shop is selling it like hot cake at $150 a master case.

I retested the Vector 14X and found an almost identical amount of non-volatile residue (Mystery Oil.) The residue didn't smell too bad, but had a slight yellow tint. Check my Best to Worst canned butane list linked to in my ICMAG Forum Signature to see how it compares to other brands I've tested.

Vector 14X #3 had 0.017g of residue (two cans shot to the same bag, this is the result divided by two)

They are selling also at wildside in Corvallis ,Or But I'm just like you and not finding alot on the Honey 7x You can also see picture of it if you do a google search under images. I sure would like to know who is making it and where it is coming from.

I have Capital and Ignitus 11X coming for test. Still waiting on London, couple of you have said you'd send me some and.... Should have Sky 9X and maybe this Honey 7X lined up by early next week. I will work with any manufacturer, vendor, retailer, or user to get every brand tested, please contact me.

Agreed! There are others around, just not readily available at most 7/11's. There is also Ronson in the white cans, but have only seen them in mini sizes in my area lately.

Im curious on what this "power" butane i use when airgas and ecogreen are to far backordered. Its in a yellow can and just says power. I need a better scale to see what left behind. Its $21 dollars a case at the local smoke shop which puts it cheaper then everything. I havent looked at master case prices.

Ive used that yellow power stuff once.. it had so much residue I couldnt see myself using it again and risk leaving some of that stuff behind anywhere.

I never tested this 'English' Fasfil, but I did test the Korean Fasfil, and it's near the bottom of my Best to Worst list...

I ordered a case... if they would have just contacted me to test a sample before investing in wholesale volumes, they really would have some info to tout if it was found to be so clean.

Also ordered Super 5X and Angaara 7X for residue testing...

Fucking EcoGreen and CHINA are trying to KILL us with their gas!!! This is out of a 70/30 blend, the collection pot looked brand new before I distilled the solvent....

OH IT STINKS SO BAD!!!!! OH THE HUMANITY,THE BOG OF ETERNAL STENCH!!! ITS NAUSEATING!!!

Its baked on! I had to use 70 % alchy, then 91%, then Everclear to get it all out!! My kitchen smells so bad right now....

I tested EcoGreen and reported the residue stinks,
