Broad Mites?

Use in flower too

Use in flower too

I havent been able to find in this thread if anyone has been using the aspirin during the flowering stage.

Im figuring you guys are only using it while in Veg time.?

I have also read that aspirins active ingredient has been used to produce hermie flowers.

I use it in flower for some that may be still affected by the toxin and it works great. I use about forty 325 mg aspirins for a fifty gallon hydro rez. I use them for the first 4-5 weeks in flower. I had no herms. I disolve them in warm water first (they dissolve really quickly in a bowl) then pour the liquid in rez.Aspirin I believe can produce herms if you use a large amount of aspirin and if the strain is prone to hermie and possibly some fem'd strains that I have heard sometimes throw a nanner or two even with no aspirin. Better than watching dud's 100% dud's grow> I have seen 100% dud's turn into 90 % not dud's using aspirin.

I am two weeks into flower on one room, and just gave the ladies a hair cut. They are already smelling, the bud production is the same or better than usual, and they are growing like crazy. I honestly think the extra veg time from dealing with the mites might actually increase my yields out of this room. Only time will tell. So far no duds to be had.

I got very lucky this round, my Blue Dream was suffering badly, the normally hardy strain was putting out lots of dead nodes and mutant leaves, with help from this thread, they recovered, and not only did they recover, but the dead nodes on the lower parts of the plant were just numerous enough to decrease pruning time dramatically. A job that's been routined down to around 10 mins per plant took between 5 and 7 each on this round of ladies.

I was like "Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut?"

Whats a good scout loupe brand? I bought this one at the grow shop that attaches to an iphone 4 for 30 bucks, shit is SUPER fuckin blurry and I don't even feel like I'm zoomed enough to see shit... Its only clear at the absolute lowest zoom setting... Need a reliable scope, any ideas I'm open to em :D

not for nothing, you can get a good stereo microscope with a camera for around $150. so glad i got mine. amscope.

Aspirin all the way.....

so let me get this straight. yall are using aspirin as a soil drench? i thought for sure it would be a contact agent. i'm skeptical, frankly.

aspirin to force male flowers sounds a lot more probable to me than aspirin as a systemic pesticide. may just have to test this out.

It's not being used as a pesticide, it's being used to counteract the broadmite toxin which causes abnormal growth.

Yes, you need extra veg time to deal with these bastards.
Get some thick stems and large yields.

interesting thread history

interesting thread history

hey, just got finished reading entire thread. picked out a couple items to refresh:

1. apply Avid lights on only
2. ISO diluted to 40-50% with RO water, applied every 3 days, 4 applications, will get rid of BMs in flower

Dr. Purpur you still out there? ISO still working for you or anyone else give this a shot? I'm running a small sample spray in flwr will post results

(reference: posts from wayyy back)
Dr. Purpur. post #469

If Your in bud, and have a bad infestation of mites, you usually feel helpless, But I have just pretty much conquered a 150 sq foot patch of mite
infested plants. It took four applications of about a gallon each.

ISO adjust it to exactly 50% alcohol and 50% water. Spray under the
leaves thoroughly and mist over the top. Do that every third day for 4
times to be safe. It totally wastes the Mites, but 50% wont melt
Trichomes.

Spray with lights off or at dusk

Storm Shadow post #704

Avid with the lights on will Kill all of them... 2nd treatment follow up...
You'd be lucky to find a broadmite afterwords ..but if you dont spray
with your lights ON your wasting the Avid

on the attack

on the attack

1. Storm - you mentioned you're running 6x 1k's over 4x8 trays... when you foliar spray pesticides do you allow over spray that collects on the trays to drain into res?

2. Storm - you mention to wait 10 days to use wettable sulfur after 3x neem. but if sulfur is used first, can neem follow it? by say 3 days? (as suggested on your new 8 moa attack)

3. bombs/foggers. there's been mention of: Pylon TR Total Release Insecticide. opinions on this / others more preferable? any tips?

My update: still finding eggs on new growth which means the fuckers are far from dead (something's laying the eggs, right?) clones, even after dippings are weak/die. my new genetics are on the way but i haven't given up on saving what i have. got some new MOAs to throw in, including Phantom, Conserve (spinosad) and sulfur. rotating MOA pesticide sprays every 3 days, aspirin continuous, and added Silica to RO wtr directly. depending on success of ISO spray, I'm considering Swirski mites next.

Curious to members who have eradicated BMs... dudes like Mr Dank. you guys still out there? interested in your RX to ERADICATE (I realize this is controversial, but it's my goal. this thread can be great when all contributors keep the common enemy BM's)

I fog my plants in the veg room and the small amount of run off just gets on the trays and all over the floor (warehouse)

Sulfur label says 21 days... I did 10 and it worked fine ..
http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/msds/Citrus%20Fruit%20Nut%20Con%20Label.pdf

Do not spray plants with this product within 21 days of an oil spray.

I'll be testing out bifenthrin tommarow... so we can add another new MOA to the team...In Veg for Moms I love the sound of long residuals

Use Phantom at 1.5 mls per gallon instead of those aerosol cans

Update:
1. not seeing great results. either super strain of BM or I'm not applying the shit right. in second round of ++chems now, hoping for a turnaround.
2. scoped moms directly on top of new growth, full of eggs, even on tops of leaves.
3. bunch of rooted clones planted today (also have eggs), dipped in conserve/azamax/indicate combo. many clones that were struggling before, are toast after that dip.
4. ordering Cyonara 9.7 (love the name) which is 9.7% Lambda-cyhalothrin
5. odering pylon TR bombs
6. ordering swirski mites, primarily for ladies just flipped... nice big canopy, and healthly-ish looking... yet damaged. eggs but no adult BMs. after 1 week 12/12 they're flowering, where normally the hairs come at 2, 2.5 weeks.
7. ISO app was brutal. ladies survived it okay, i almost didn't (even with mask was like drinking everclear). too early to say if buds will improve -- in week 5 = stunted, fluff, no resin, no smell.
8. I'm continuing 3 day MOA rotational sprays. but looks like i'll be starting fresh once new genetics arrive

OGbiowar foliar will have them gone in 3-4 days. It is the only product you will need. Skip all of the other bullshit. To much work with not enough results.

Bubbler... toss the azamax...Try Conserve SC solo at 15ml a gallon....the miticide effect is the best at the higher doses...

I just a few days did a combo of Talstar with Conserve SC and had no problems... The long lasting residuals on moms will really help...

Again I think treating small cuts you can dunk whole is the best...spraying can leave hiding spots...

Super BM's from PO...if you have those... its an uphill battle till the very end...

S

SooperSmurph

Why toss the Aza, exactly?

While high doses are required which have more of a negative effect upon the plants than a normal dose, the data you provided from the Brazilian study involving the chili peppers, as well as results i'm seeing, seem to indicate that this is a much safer option for controlling the infestation than going straight for the chems, yes?

If it's the compatability with the Sulfur sprays, why not toss the Sulfur instead of the Raw/Refined Neem?

he's got Super BM's and nothing is phasing them...When going Nuclear is not getting the Job Done...its time to go Super Saiyan level 5

clarified hydrophobic extract of neem at higher doses is better than Azadirachtin ... works right away as a contact killer of all stages of BM's and with extra benefits like controlling plant diseases

Any Home Depot or Lowes will have Triple Action Neem oil aka %70 clarified hydrophobic extract of neem ... if you dip clones at 60ml a gallon.... Some genetics get upset...but most take it in stride

Remember you should wait if your deploying strong chems before releasing Swirskii's they are not plant eaters but probably not good for them. And the "sachets" are for prevention and longer term protection. They also sell "Tubes" of like 50,000.00 loose swirkii's for a bad infestation knockdown. The sachets are "slow release" to have "patrol scouts" if you will.Needles to say also if you plan on using heat treatment deploy after heat.GL.
