RE> Good thing I've got the drippers fixed, cause I won't be going inside much longer! I have been gone on a work trip for 5 days DAMN Boggle great work. You are so right about the drippers I cannot even GET behind two rows anymore in my stadium, and to think I was worried they wouldn't "fill in" enough BWAHAHAH.

Great job grow on my excellent spaced out brutha from a different mutha!

i thought you had a thread somewhere around. i hang in the organic soil areas so i have been missing out, of course. pulling up a seat now though, looks bright in here... btw your c99 album is pretty convincing.

Welcome aboard! :) The shuttle is just taking off! ha ha... I'm still trying to get my C99 cut back, but it's out there... I'm just gonna have to beat down the door, and go into the secret basement in the closet to get it... lol

not to be a jerk dude, but it's bobble, not boggle... ha ha... I grew some bogglegum once. It was some nice smoke.

Yeah man, I don't know how you're watering, but if you don't have drippers run, you might wanna use a hose, with some pipe on the end... or w/e to give you some extra reach. Vert is the shit! :)

So I've been getting a lot of attention with my heat exchanger... I actually learned about them from VagPuncher in DMT's 420 light thread... Those guys are something else though. I'm just a small timer doing my part.

Anyway, this is a part of an explanation I was giving to a member here... and maybe I should have posted something like this earlier.

That 1/4 hp chiller is going to be used for some RDWC buckets instead... it just made more sense.

As far as the heat exchanger goes, you just have to make sure you do it right for it to work. 1- You need a large enough radiator, 2- you need enough air moving through the radiator, but it (the air) also has to have enough time to be in contact with the radiator and be cooled, 3- a large enough reservoir of cold water, 4- a big enough pump to circulate that water and keep the radiator cold, and 5- something to take the heat out of the reservoir. If you take all of this into consideration, you shouldn't have a problem.

To cool the water for my heat exchanger, I'm going to modify a freezer. I'll put a 60' copper coil inside of a bucket or rubbermaid. That container needs to be filled with a liquid (salt water, anti-freeze, etc...), and then placed inside the freezer. Then you run your lines in and out of the freezer. Now when you're doing this, you also have to think about the liquid running through the coils. You want it to get cold, but not freeze and block the flow. Probably a good idea to use salt water here too. Salt water keeps a lower temperature anyway, and I wouldn't feel so bad about dumping it when it has served its purpose. Oh yeah so anyway I was thinking that this modified "freezer chiller" should be elevated higher than the reservoir, with water being pump into the bottom of the coil... This way you could use a temperature controller to turn on a water pump, to pump the reservoir water up into the freezer, and back down to be circulated through the system i.e. radiators. The water will drain back down when the pump is cut off, and no freezing pipes. Copper is not an acceptable material for chilling a nutrient reservoir from my understanding, b/c the copper will dissolve into the water and o/d the plants... So use stainless steel or titanium (my aqua logic chiller uses titanium) in the event of using it for a nutrient reservoir...

This freezer chiller I think can be built for $200 or less, and most chillers I see sell for $400+... Like I said I'm going to use the real deal for my RDWC, but something like a cooling system I think it should work fine.

Sorry man I got in at 4:00 am this morning from a all night drive back from a clients late meeting in Reno, my bad...I am running drippers myself although I still have some over and under watering issues but so far nothing that has held me back.

Sorry BOBBLE....I am still barely awake and I have a lot of work to do still. LOL I am looking to grow Bogglegum after my next run, I love BOG genetics!

Great grow man!

Daddy likes purple! I have never seen popped seeds showing color, very interesting.

Yeah, it's the craziest thing. I've never seen it either. I'm taking it as a good sign though. The purp clone I used for a mom was extremely bushy, but had sativa leaves, terribly low yield... But it would turn purple even in warm temps, and had that purp taste, more so than the GDP I ran. I'm hoping that the Grape Skunk straightens out the growth a bit and increases the yield. They're pretty much opposites, so it should make a nice f1 cross.

Thanks for dropping in bro. I know if you're here, and ur not telling me to turn things upside down, I must be doing alright... ha ha

I just read through Heathe's Vertical Racks.. and I'm going to apply the shelving to this style of grow, but with smart pots in 5 gal buckets. You'll see. Add the fogger and it's gonna fuckin rock! I learned what I needed building this. Many improvements to come in the next month building the even newer setup.

With Heathe's pics and your feedback, I'm headed to the top with less watts than the rest! thanks.

never seen the purple roots thanks for sharing bobble

Yeah, it's nice! I can't wait for another couple months when they are finished up. :)

very cool

thanks bro :tiphat:

When yas get ready ta build the manifold to feed all those buckets on different levels holler........got a few tricks up my sleeve I used on mine that`ll save yas some headaches.....

If you could throw up a link where folks could see Heath`s angled racks , it`d be greatly appreciated......I know they were archived in urban garden mag for veggies , but the only other place I know where they`re at , is an invite only site showing his very first run pullin down 4 lbs with 2-600`s side by side in a 4 x 6 room.....

Think he was runnin upwards of 87 some odd plants though , so as yas can plainly see , plant numbers dictate yield.......if yas can get past the illegality of things........if not.....vegtime required.......

Attitude`s everything Bobble , and yours makes my old ass proud ta know yas ......Happy ta help in any way.......

Peace.....DHF......:ying:....
