I love your spartan approach. I am following your lead but will stay with SCROG until I can train better. Can you help with two details I cannot seem to find again....the sockets you use and the rectangular grow containers. Sockets I bought appear to position the wiring flush against my boards which seems unsafe.

Medium Base Cleat Lamp Socket - can be found at most hardware store and online. Go to the lighting section of what ever store and look or ask for it. Usually same area as what you have already.

Dunno how you missed the scrog cab on the first page... but new cab is mentioned on page 169.

I get the sockets at Lowes. I guess they call them a 'Eaton 3-Way 660-Watt White Hard-Wired Cleat Socket'

The rectangular container is a small rubbermaid tub that I spray painted black with spray paint made for painting plastic.

Greeting everyone. New here, I have however read most of this amazing grow. Like dude, you are the shit. Haha. This grow had given me so much inspiration.

I will be starting a grow sometime soon indoor like what you have done Blynx. I have cfl 6500 k for veg stage, but looking around for LED flowering lights. Would 3000k spectrum be okay for flower ?

I found these 9.5 watt led bulbs, that output around 800 lumens..if I can run say 5 for the time.being, would that be okay to veg ?

https://www.futurelight.co.za/colle...lb-9-w-osram-classic-bulb?variant=20817905415

The bulbs are pretty cheap. .I can pick up 2700k bulbs for 1/3rd of the price more..thoughts ?

Any help or guidance in this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

Peace and light

I never had much luck vegging under 2700k, I would veg under the 6500k.

3000k will flower plants just fine. I don't think there is really much, if any, difference between plants flowered under 2700k vs 3000k.

Hi Blynx,

I have been reading this thread for a long time and you are doing some awesome work. I want your opinion on something:

I have a cabinet 74cmWx48cmDx150cmH (29"x19"x59"). I want to use it as effective as possible.

1. Option:

I can use the cabinet as it is, i can put 250w HID light with cooltube. Seed 8 plants and hopefully harvest 4x 4' long female plants. (In about every 16 to 20 weeks)

2. Option

I can divide the cabinet half. I would have 74cmWx48cmDx75cmH(29"x19"x29.5") weg partition, and 74cmWx48cmDx75cmH(29"x19"x29.5") flowering partition. Put 125w CFL in weg part and 12x12watts led bulbs in flowering part. Make a clone cycle and hopefully harvest 6x 1.5' long female plants.(Or maybe scrog) (In about every 8 to 10 weeks)

Which option would you use? And why?
Please give me some advice, your opinion is precious for me.
Thanks.

(Btw sorry for my bad English.)

I would go with option 2.

You will have a lot more flexibility with option 2. You can start all the plants flowering at the same time and harvest at the same time, or you can stagger flowering and have plants going in and out on a regular basis.

125w of CFL seems like a lot for veg, especially if you are talking a single 125w CFL.

If your option for LED is 12w, then I would use six or eight 12w LED bulbs for the veg area.

Start a thread, post your build and get growing!
