i thought it looked like a crab ,
which is not impossible here despite us living at 900 metres above sea level ,
land crabs have been spotted up here ..

anyhow its a spider , he can swim underwater i noted , his hole is most likely an s bend like the toilet so he has a dry spot in there that he can swim too if needed , after lots of rain he is seen in the entrance of his hole waiting for the water to abate ...

i didnt try the thai , i heard they got about 7 lbs from it , they range from golden to light green and brown ,
its likely a thai stick descendant a few generations down the track..

Looks like a Aussie tarantula aka goliath bird eating spider....looks a beautiful specimen..I kinda like tarantulas...an you guys have some really beautiful ones in Oz.
Yeah that tree looks so similar to something ive been looking for or some information about for an age unsuccessfully...thanks for putting the snap up Donald....are you guys working on trying to gett a workable sample out your way....because if its the same as what im thinking of its a awesome line..very rarely seen...when a good one popps up an its done in the right conditions..it looks / spectacular and so exotic..not many things like it

it doesnt seem quite as big , but as i said it could be , ive added a pic of one below anyhow , found in my laundry ...

i will probably get some seeds of that thai plant eventually ,
the fella i know who i got the pics off is negotiating with the thai folks who grew it in order to obtain some ...

ive planted a few thai and south east asian seeds where i live in the past ,
i found it best to plant them late or they end up massive like that one and can be hard to maintain and or hide ,
heres one in the green house a few years ago , i could have planted it even earlier by a few months , luckily i didnt as it easily outgrew the green house even planted when i did ...

Lucky you...you found that in the laundry......wat do you guys do..normally put them out...or would you leave it be..if indoors like that one in the laundry ?
Yeah thats a monster tree Donald..must of put out quite some weight...would have been awkward if you never had a greenhouse that big...i think those ladders would have definitely come in handy with that tree...hopefully things work out with the one in the previous picture and your guy can get his hands on it...

i saw another variety of tarantula in the laundry after that ,

when it rains really heavy i guess they come inside to get out of their sodden holes and homes ,
ive never touched them darkie ,
i just leave them alone to do what they want to do ,
i guess they live not too far from may laundry though as i read they are very territorial ,

i once saw a massive one out in the jungle while i was weeding, i didnt know spiders got that big , thats how big it was ,
it leapt at me causing me to jump back several times ,
very big and very aggressive it was ...

not sure i would want to sleep on the ground out there ...

i got raided after that big sativa was dry ,
it totally filled a 200 liter esky and a 120 liter one ,
it was a tight fit and there was no large stems left at that point ,
but i didnt get a chance to weigh it ,
i figured there was up to 4 kilos , or somewhere around that area,

would have been more if the buds had gotten as heavy as the same cutting outside did ... the outdoor one did better but was no where near as big , a much later planting ...

i think most Aussies live comfortably with spiders. I used to live in the Sydney region where we'd get the Sydney funnel web (deadly and aggressive) and red backed spider (dangerous). Funnel webs are big black and hairy, aggro, and not to be fucked with. Having said that you hardly hear of anyone who gets killed by them.

My son had an English girlfriend years ago and he used to freak the family out by picking up various spiders that they were terrified of. Seems the English are petrified of "creepy crawlys".

I have a few huntsmen living in my place. If they get too big; say the size of my hand, I normally relocate them, otherwise they keep the insect population in check.

i was always frightened of huntsman spiders when i was younger ,
but i since discovered they barely ever bite ,, u really have to squeeze them to get them to bite ,
and even then ,it doesnt hurt much at all ,
i had a huge one on my arm a few days ago after cutting down some banana trees ,
just brushed him off and it landed with a thud on the ground ,, hehe ..

Really coming away pumpkin... looking awesome brother. Been a real odd year. I'm getting a little height in my clones but the rate they are growing now means I'm having to stake some weak ass plants. Nice to see some Harajuku in the background. :tiphat:
