Checked on the seedlings today, looking alright. None have been eaten from snails/slugs but a few did die from heat/moisture. Saves me from carrying this lot out though. I'm also trying to pot them into the native soil around to see if it helps them rather then straight in the ground.

Bit of a down day for me. Yesterday I found out my oldest dog is pretty sick. He's been my best mate for 13 years, gotten me through thick and thin and been the only stable thing I've ever truly wanted around me. I owe him so much and recognize I'm the person I am today because of him. I've got about a week with him. He has to have a serious dental operation as well as some lumps checked out for cancer. Feeling for my mate right now because I can't do anything to help him at this point. Looking like he's going to be put to sleep at this point.

Managed to get out today, checked on the seedlings and bought 12 clones out to plant in the new spot. Really surprised the seedlings had grown as much as they had. Either the plastic cover, the solar lights or the native soil done them a world of wonders.

I have repotted them into those 10litre bags I bought out.

Thanks fullas. Every chance this place can go to shit. I've been seeing a little more sign then I would like that people are prepping to harvest sections of the bush. I should be safe but chances are.... hahaha.

My old boy has a date to be put down. Seems so fucked.. he's off to the bush where I spend so much of my time. He will become a Mauri out there and my connection with him and the land will be stronger then ever.

How you fullas all getting on? The weathers pretty strange here. Growth is slow.

Looking good buds. I've been noticing some slow growth, but mostly on the clones I put out a few weeks back, the seed plants have monstered up, though I did put them out a bit too early.


Unknown sativa-hybrid:

Iranian Indica:
She's got a really nice fuel/skunk smell to her and the side branches seem to grow at an even level to the top

A GG4 x SFV kush plant:
This is an odd plant, I've got her going inside and she's just got no smell, super resinous and thick, but just no smell, it's so weird.

A couple local strains (Te Kakariki) I got as clones that have taken fucking forever to reveg:

You're talking my language gents. This increasingly moribund nation still has a ways to go. Where did all the big thinkers in this country go? Adhern represents all the things I love about NZ. Competent, smart, empathic, hospitable... integrity. What's not to like? Lucky to have a few Kiwi friends. What a landscape. Glorious.

PS: Re the girls. (And boys). The more I see of 'em... the better I like 'em. Great to have something to look forward too aint it!
