Changes I'd like to see to the ACT law. Of course I'd like full nation wide legalisation, but realistically that's not going to happen with a Christian Happy Clapper leading the country.

1: Legalise seeds. I mean wtf, you can only illegally obtain them now.

2: Allow 3 plants (would prefer more, just trying to be realistic). If you only have a 2 plant rule people will only grow feminised. Allowing 3 means you have a decent chance of a female and can make your own seeds.

3:Add a zero to the amount you can posses, allowing for a years supply. 500 grams, not 50. I mean, who can grow a 50 or 25 gram plant anyway. It's like you break the law as soon as you harvest if you're a decent grower.

4:I would like to see designated smoking areas in public. Bugger this only allowed to consume at home.

5: Allow indoor growing. The law descriminates against those in units. Also lots of dangers growing outdoors in suburbia, rippers e.t.c.

Originally the bill allowed 4 plants per person no limit to a home so 4 people of legal age in a set home would allow 16 plants. But act labor needed the Greens support to get it over the line.

The act Greens leader is a mental health doctor and he and the act Greens tried to kill the bill and nearly did by sending it to the inquiry at the last minuet when the bill was being voted on the Greens sided with the LIbs.It should of been legal last year but lucky it the bill survived at all.

The act could not legally set up retail seed sales with out the feds involvement that is why Michael was going the cannabis grower op seed trade road like Spain has but the inquiry screwed that idea.

In an Australian first, Canberrans can now possess and cultivate Cannabis for personal use ... The new laws allow people to possess 50 grams dry Cannabis and grow up to two plants, with maximum four plants per house. Limit is increased to 150 grams fresh Cannabis. However, confusion remains over how the laws will be enforced. Feral Attorney-General Christian Porter previously stated Feral laws will apply, where possession remains illegal. Chief Minister Andrew Barr said ACT legislation will provide a legal defence for those charged under Commonwealth laws. The efficacy of that argument is unclear as Feral laws take precedence over state laws in the Constitution. As a Territory, the ACT also operates under a different set of legal principles than other Australian states and Australian Feral Police provide policing.
Around three-quarters of Australians believe possession of Cannabis should not be a criminal offence (National Drug Strategy Household Survey 2016) while ACT Government public opinion survey 2018 found more than half Canberrans wanted personal use of Cannabis legalised. Melinda Lucas, Drug and Alcohol Foundation, says the approach should be about harm minimisation, getting people out of the criminal justice system. “Alcohol and Drug Foundation supports drug law reform, a broad term that looks at ways to minimise harm from alcohol or other drugs. One harm may be the legal status ... Cannabis law change in the ACT is something we have not seen before, ... not a great deal of evidence to determine whether legalising Cannabis is the best way ... The evidence is pretty clear internationally, changing the way criminal or civil penalties apply can impact harm it is causing. People have been using drugs since time immemorial. Why is an age-old question ...
But we have a social responsibility to do our best ... It does not mean you are condoning the behaviour, it just means you ... ‘prefer you did not do this, but if you are going to do it here is what you can do to try and make you and the rest of the community safer’” ... Greens MLA Shane Rattenbury, spokesman for drug law reform said this legislation is not an end in itself. “While the Bill is an important step forward, there’s still work to be done to ensure Cannabis use is treated as a health issue, not a criminal issue ... we’ll continue to campaign for legalisation at a national level to allow for supply and sale in a nationally regulated market, something the ACT is unable to do”. Impact of legislation will be reviewed after three years in accordance with an amendment by the Greens ... proposals, increased limits for people using Cannabis for medicinal purposes and establishment of an independent advisory council, were rejected by Labor and LIEbrals.

Anyone else grow Jack Herers?

We've got about 10 or so going, all from seed from the same ounce, and half have pink hairs and half white. It's quite striking and rather bizarre

Those pink hairs are nice pahut. Are you dealing with any mealybugs this year? (Small, white and fluffy that jumps)
I have been battle hundreds of thousands of them.. using a garlic and chilli spray. Lucky i did start treating for them. Three plants i left untouched were 75 % covered in thise bugs.

Yeah it's pretty cool and they smell so good haha

I haven't spotted a mealybug yet, have been battling the caterpillars though. Am going to do a neem this weekend if it won't affect the buds.

Good to know the garlic and clilli spray works man, who knows if we'll get infested next week or something. Did the mealybugs fuck everything up on the plants you didn't treat?
