Obviously organic growers THINK they grow the best weed. Let them continue their beliefs and end the thread, or at least rename thread: Lets just talk shit on eachother over shit that nobody cares about...

I will always grow with refined nutrients. None of your slanderous comments will ever change that. Just the same as none of you will ever stop growing with organics.

ITS ALL PREFERENCE.

Cause I've worked with Jamaicans and they are mostly all about organic herb from the homeland...mountain grown.

But they weren't pot snobs.

hahh. jamicans dont know SHIT about growing. all their herb is grown from seed. they dont feed plants AT ALL. they crush trichomes when inspecting growing herb. and WORST they lay herb out on rock to dry in sun...

thats why you always see em

a. pack 10grams of "herb" in chalice
2.they get 4-5 gram joints.

EVER WATCH RASTA SMOKE HERB??? as soon as they hittn it they exhaling it... WHY? caus hardly anyone in JAM knows how to properly grow. which means it all taste HARSH.

not to say this applies to ALL jamiacans. but that is majority. huge majority.

better yet why not do a REAL comparison and grow the same strain in the same enviorments using different nute regimens.

if you know ANYTHING bout the DAM you know theyr RickROssin it on the constant. half the strains are bullshit named. the other half unflushed +uncured.

itl be ffuny when tourists get tired of the dutch treatin em liek shit and stop going and al them coffeeshops start hittin the bricks...

Organics improves flavour and reduces yield.

Is this really the best thread to introduce myself in? Maybe not, as I love the entire community that has come together, here at the IC. OG, R.I.P. But with an avatar such as mine, it seemed like it was time to inaugurate myself!

What a wealth of knowledge that rains forth from so many contributors here. Alas, with as many contributors, comes as many opinions, philosophies, and personalities! I think that this particular thread displays this diversity quite well!
Not that anyone has said, "Hey, is there anyone else out there who hasn't said anything yet, but would like to?", but to answer the the original qutestion posted by greenhead, while it would seem like the right thing to say is, "Yes!", for a whole host of reasons (none of wich are necessarilly negative IMHO), I think, now, after having read this entire collection of unfortunate bloggery, the answer is pretty evidently... No!

"Chem guys", or, as we seem to be refering to them... "refined nutes" guys (even though that doesn't really single out chem based ferts, since, unless you're straight up slinging raw manure onto the plant, pretty much all "organic" products you will by at the garden center are "refined", as well, into composted concentrates with shelf lives) say that they don't get it, and to stop telling them how to grow. And stop acting all self righteous. But then when we explain it [the school of thought, philosophy, and perspective (i.e. sustainable agriculture) of the "organic grower" as a whole] instead of saying, "I see what you mean, but to me, for what I'm doing, chem ferts work just fine." You're still saying things like, "well... we're cleaner"; "I think its a fad"; and "they remind me of evangelical Chritians."

Which brings me back to the whole "perspective" thing. So, the Homo sapien as we know him (us), has been around for over ten thousand years. Christianity, as a religion, not a quarter of that. Since life began on the planet Earth, so did death, and then of course, decomposition. Thus organic fertilization has been around for, oh I don't know exactly, but hundreds of millions of years! Chem, or "refined" fertilizers have only been around since the industrial revolution. So, if anything is a fad, and anyone is an evangelical, then it would have to be synthetic fertilization and you guys!

Now, hold on, hold on, let's slow it up here. I am not personally calling anyone an eveangelical - merely using those past statements to make a point of my own. Nobody is going to want to change anything he or she does unless the way they do something causes obvious problems compared to any other method. Like so many of you have said, "We all like good ganj!"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, flavor... on the tongue of the taster, and so, "good smoke"... in the lungs of the toker! Let us not split hairs asking how many hippie treehuggers drive a car and eat at fast food reataurants. I love the planet and hate our dependence on fossil fuels, cheap products, and fast food as much as anyone. But can I afford a down payment on a hybrid vehicle, or do I live in an area that caters enough to the organic fanatic that I don't have to eat at those places... sadly, the answer is, no. But what I can do is choose to grow, everyhthing that I plant, organically. So we do. And if asked (not that i was, right ) we can provide a LOT of information as to why we subscribe to this method.
