What're the bottles of water for? Holding down mulch or clever premeasured drinky-drinks?

Stealth.

I'd rather have my neighbors see me carrying a bag of something than a bucket of water.

The bottles are not quite a half gallon.

I give the plants a bottle of water and then a bottle of the nutes, so the nutes are "on top" in the rootmass.

Hopefully, to last them about 3 days. But it is getting hot, 95 degree weather that is about to become 100+ degree weather.

It looks like it but it's early. If it was mid August I'd say yes for sure but I've seen a few plants tuck like that then start stretching again. Just this afternoon I noticed one of mine doing the same type of thing but not as extreme. I'm sure mine isn't starting to flower because I know the strain. If it is starting to flower make seeds and/or clones in case it's an early photo-sensitive type that turns out to be good smoke. Always looking for early finishers in the north.

I bet you could set up a 2/3 gal bucket drip system with that. My brother used a 5 gallon pail with tiny holes in the side bottom in his tomato patch. Lasts 4 days.

You could put pin holes in the bottles but then you couldn't reuse them to haul water.

Dropped by the swamp yesterday evening to check on everything. Plants are growing, the water wicking setup is working beautifully, and no pests/critters are messing with them. Now that's more like it. The next trip will be to drop off the remaining 5 Boreal lights. Also did a bit of bird watching while I was out there since I always carry either binoculars/a bird book/and notepad with observations or a fishing pole and tackle (believable alibis.) Saw a huge flock of doves take off right by my plants (they weren't bothering them) a blue heron, and a bunch of others. Very relaxing trip compared to last time since I was properly outfitted with long pants and sleeves and didn't endure so much pain.

hows things goin now....for ya swampman ??
haha...awesome

Silver Thiosulfate Solution(STS) is used to get your female plants to produce pollen. When you pollinate a female with that pollen, every resulting seed produced will be female.

You can make and use Colloidal Silver (CS) to do it as well. The difference is the amout it times you have to treat your ants. With CS you spray every day for 2-3 weeks. With STS, you only spray once, wait two weeks and spray again.

The plants that produce femmale pollen will usually pollinate themselves. If you have a little watch of 5 plants, and your timing is right, you can produce a lifetime supply of seeds.

Edit. You may already know this, but newbies can be helped with this.

BOG-Potted ?

BOG-Potted ?

I wanted to give a plant in an 11 gallon pot more soil mass.

But I didn't want to attempt a transplant.

So I drilled 6 more holes in the bottom of the pot, and put that on top of the soil mass in a 32 gallon pot, 1/2 filled with soil.

i also added some Foxfarm Ocean Forest around the sides.

There's 2x 32 gallon pots in the pic with all the greenery. A smaller regen clone behind a larger regen clone, the one that just got sort of transplanted.

Temps are headed for 95+ F, so I'm trying to give lots of TLC so they can take advantage of all that SUN ! ! ! :artist:

Got a pic of the bottom of the pot and then the camera went into auto-phone-call-can't-take-a-picture mode.

another thing you could consider, is strapping the pot down carefully, like you got it in pic,.....or get someone to firmly hold it...

and very carefully cut the entire bottom out, leaving only 1" around the circumference of bottom of pot with jig saw
....dig up dirt in ground
such thats its loose, dump a bag of soil ontop of that...
place bottomless pot ontop of new soil....

and now you made it possible for the roots to continues to grow
down into terra firma, without transplanting....she will grow bigger roots and bigger stalk (its a clever work a round)-but be very careful not to snap stalk....or its all for nothing, you might loose plant (you can use duct tape to hold splintered stalk back together it can mend, done this before too)...

but you have to be extremely careful not to snap the stalk
in the process, which is why the pot needs another set of hands on it or a secure strapping, so it dont move while you jig saw out the bottom...

Hi everyone, l hope you’re all well,
a way l use to beat the whole late transplant thing is to, cut the bottom out of a pot, get some paper and shade cloth and a means to securely attach the shade cloth to the top of the pot.
This attachment depends on quite a few things, such as , how big the pot is, how long the plant will be in the pot, and how heavy it will be at transplant, i.e. you don’t want the bottom dropping out enroute to the plant’s new home. One way l found to help with this was to take the plant to point of wilt, which assisted in keeping the soil together and obviously, making it lighter. I’ve also duct taped a board to the bottom and up over the top of the pot, for handles, as well.
Turn the pot upside down, so the top is now the bottom. Put the paper in and fill it up with your desired medium and plant out.
The shade cloth will act as an air pruning type medium, as long as the pot is off the ground and the upturned pot alows the plant to have a lovely developed root system.
Once you’re ready to plant, the pot will slide straight off the soil without cutting, banging, squeezing or damaging your beautiful roots. This is also a good technique, so you’re able to observe root development for transplant window or breeding etc with minimal impact to the root zone.
Cheers,
40.
By the way gp7, that Boreal Lights is starting to look the business.

I'm beginning to think some of my plants recently wiltiness is due to increased transpiration as morning dew evaporates off the leaves as the sun comes up? That plus it's super hot, I'm wilting in the sun too, and the plants could stand to be in larger containers. Still, I watered yesterday morning knowing we'd hit the mid to upper 90s, and the plants looked great all afternoon - this morning, super-wilting.
