Now that we're well into sub zero temperatures with snow on the ground, it's time to visit the tiny buds I left on the plants in my gorilla spots.

Another update on this one flower. I can see mild differences likely indicating growth now compared to the Oct 31 picture.

My toy sized purple seed factory, looks like it might end up producing something more useful than half a bowl worth of shake.

This is four little plants which got a late start all growing together in a little container

They're all sisters, just like their parents' parents

Regardless the similar genetic origin, they still look pretty diverse

I've still been moving plants in and out of a barn... still think I'm seeing some development, but we're headed into some near record cold temps (snowing now), and winter's not far behind, so I dunno... thinking I might give up the ghost. My main goal was seeds, and that's likely either happened or not happened. If the latter, probably not going to happen this year, would've liked to have kept those genes alive even in a small # of seeds, but it is what it is.

Maybe I'll chop one of the clones, and see if there are any seeds in it.

No. This is the first time Ive grown Malawi. I have 2 of them out there. Probably wont be long now

Looks good Dr. I grew a kabalwi (kali mist x malawi) it turned out great. Awesome vigor with good structure. With a loud smell I can't really explain. Smoke test when it cures.

Heres another updated picture of the flower I've been tracking
FKe1wse.jpg

If you compare that to the October 31 pic you can see that its put on about a days worth of growth or so over the past two weeks of enduring the cool late fall outdoor climate.

WFT!? lol
I guess the thread is Anything outdoors 2019, it doesn't say pot plants only.
Did anyone notice the little leaf tip sticking up at the bottom of the photo in that last new photo of that one flower I was tracking? I saw it and thats how I knew botrytis was inside that flower so I cut that plant down when I saw the sign in the photo and after cutting away the fungus covered parts I found inside the top flower, I hung the rest of plant up to dry. The parts I cut away were really sweet smelling.
I cut most everything else down earlier today while the flowers were still pretty looking, a bunch little plants that had started flowering mid September. The humidity here is terrible and its starting to rain, primo botrytis growing weather.

Wow PDX, that last picture is dope!!!!! :tiphat:

I look forward to PDX's end of season pictures every year. Seriously beautiful flowers.

When I was a kid, my buddy put 2 plants (from bag seed) at the back of his dad's garden. His dad was furious with him, but he couldn't bring himself to pull them out. "Can you look after them for me dad?" lol. Fast forward to the fall. Proof that the old man had a green thumb. Beauties. My buddy pulled them out in the fall and the old man flipped and kicked him out of the house. Buddy slept on our couch for a few days. :D The next year he only harvested the buds and left the plants in the ground for his dad. But he still got the evil eye. His dad wouldn't let him take the internal popcorn.
(RIP buddy)
