When the 12 team format happens next year, get ready for #13 bitching.

14-0 would be nice for FSU, but I am not holding my breath and I will probably not see the game since ESPN owns the whole match.

as optimistic as i was looking at UT (BOTH of them!) coming into this season, both Tennessee AND Texas have surprised my elderly ass. gotta say, Manning in Texas is looking like he will be another real deal QB for the family. it would suck if Ewers loses his starting job over this injury. being Sarkisian (sp?) right now is gonna take some SERIOUS kind of diplomacy or daylight burglar quality nerves. Heupel does NOT have a QB controversy on his hands... gotta figure out how to watch Tennessee vs Oklahoma this Saturday...or, should i go bowhunting since it's opening day of archery ? hmmm...

gotta see the 'bama-georgia matchup coming up. a loss won't knock either out of the playoffs unless they stumble again. ought to be some really good ball...Big Orange has a bye-week, so i may take my canoe and camp out and bowhunt for deer...or sit around the fire smoking bowls and thinking. something...

"unusual" night in college ball. Vanderbilt has beaten Alabama in Nashville, their first ever win over a top-ranked team. hell, first time over a top-5 team. and Tennesse has run into a buzzsaw in Arkansas, trailing 3-0 at the half. first time in Heupels career that his team has been held scoreless for a half, to the best of my knowledge. poor ol' Vols can't run a set of downs without drawing a flag, and there haven't been any BS calls either. no home cooking, just bad play on Tennessees part...they get the ball first in the second half. SOMETHING about their play-calling and execution better change drastically.

the Vols scored TDs their first two possessions in the 2nd half, and that was the only things they did right all game. lost to the Hogs 19-14. it would have been 15-14 but they let Arkansas score a TD with a bit over a minute to go in order to give their offense a chance...which they blew. more than one upset this day in college ball... won't be the last ones we see. ;)

We will not mention the Seminoles.

It has been an unusual display of 'parity' in the NCAA this year. 12 teams to figure out the Champ this year.

PS: Screw ESPN and Disney.

Oregon beat THE Ohio State, lol. Vandy beat another quality SEC team, Ol' Miss lost as LSU pulled a rabbit out of its ass, TN and 'bama both squeaked by...damn! college football is on fire this year... Florida vs Kentucky and Tennessee vs 'bama next saturday. last saturday losers playing each other and two of last saturdays winners going at it in Knoxville. if TNs offense doesn't show up, it -might- get ugly, in spite of their defense. you can't leave those boys out there all damn day... :dunno:

Yeah, my Gators lost to the Vols last weekend. To be honest, we played well imo. Knew it was going to be tough beating them in Tenn.
It's tough being a Florida fan! 😂

wow! the Georgia win over Texas surprised a few folks. "welcome to the SEC!" :yoinks: i'll be honest, i thought the Vols were gonna get whipped today. their defense is better than i thought. Iamaleava threw the ball better, but needs to learn that throwing the ball up for grabs to avoid a sack isn't always the smart thing to do. two interceptions from that alone...:dunno:

Vols are looking good. Glad they beat Bama, sick and tired of them winning all the time.
Going to be tough beating Ga, but think the Vols can pull it off.
Think Texas was a little overrated imo.

i don't want them to beat 'bama every time. that's unrealistic to start, and it is too good of a rivalry IMHO for one team or the other should dominate for long spans. a "rivalry" should be competitive. Georgia's defense looks tough on tv. UTs does as well, but Nico and Sampson need to keep them boys off the field as much as possible. i'm still trying to wrap my brain around UT topping Florida and dropping in the polls. WTF ???

Yeah brother, it's been tough being a Florida fan... everyone wants to get rid of our head coach and that's not the answer with him in there only 3 years.. clearly something wrong interior..
We are 4-3 now and hoping our freshman QB gets those reps for hopefully a better year, next year!

Oregon manhandled Illinois from the first snap.

This Oregon team is the real deal. I have nothing bad to say about Illinois. They were just beaten by a better team. It was never a close game. This isn't like the previous Oregon teams that were good but just not quite good enough. This is a much more physical style of play. These guys are tough and bringing it.

west coast football has evolved over the last ten years or so, and it had to or sink into irrelevance nationally. Oregon has seen what those better teams in the SEC/Ohio State etc have been doing, and applied those lessons well. they had the skills, they had the speed...now they have the grit and attitude to go with it. the SEC is beating itself up, rather than 2 or 3 teams dominating, which sure as hell makes for more interesting football on tv. Florida will be back, as will LSU, and ol' Miss is coming on as well. you cannot take ANY games for sure-fire wins these days. i love it!

Well it was quite the nail biter and not a very strong performance but the Oregon Ducks went on the road to Wisconsin and got the win.

Next game for the Ducks is at home against the Washington Huskies. Oregon should win that game without any drama. I was worried about this Wisconsin game though. It was on the road and I knew Wisconsin was going to show up to play. They sure did. They shut down the Oregon offense. Their defense was damn good. If Wisconsin had any offense Oregon would have lost the game.

Oregon's evolved significantly. Having Dan Lanning as a Head Coach who cut his chops in the SEC has really changed the style of play that Oregon has. He's young and we hope he stays. He's one of the best College coaches and just like the players just gets better with more experience.

I hated to see it breakup but Oregon leaving the PAC 12 was a good thing for the football program. They're national now and doing a good job of representing. They are now dominating the Big Ten in their first year.

I think NIL is going to destroy College football. A few teams are going to be able to get the best players. Just due to money. Oregon is one of them. I don't like it. But it is what it is.

Tennessee had as rough a time as i thought they would. it was going to be a tough game in Athens in the best of times, but Georgia had their backs against the wall, and played like it. i thought the officiating was pitiful myself, as did many others out there. no consistency at all, and a few calls that "really" looked like pro-Georgia bias from the officials; with those hitting UT at the worst possible times. UTs "top 5" defense looked like lots of things, but NOT top 5, IMHO. quarterback play hurt Tennessee as well. Nico (i think) WILL be a top quarterback in the league, but he aint there yet. gonna be fun watching him and Arch Manning for the next couple of years. i doubt either will stick around for their senior seasons...
