World War 2 Germany is used as a descriptive metaphor so many times ... I wonder if Americans could sue their history teachers for malpractice ?

2 of many books that helped educate me about WW2 -

The Dissolution of Eastern European Jewry, by Walter Sanning.

Sanning was a census historian who ended up 'in the middle of it' by studying pre-WW2 census records.

He found that 3.5 million Jewish people resided in Europe at the beginning of WW2.

This obviously conflicts with the "official narrative" of 6 million, with a shortfall of 2.5 million.

Interestingly, after the publication of Sanning's book in the 1980's, the sign at Auschwitz was modified. It used to read, "in memory of the 4 million". It was revised downwards by 2.5 million to read "in memory of the 1.5 million" (who perished at Auschwitz.)

It seems that the curators at Auschwitz knew something, and changed their sign accordingly.

Another good book, by Jewish author Edwin Black, "The Transfer Agreement". About collaborations between WW2 Germany & Israel supporters, during WW2.

At the beginning of the war, Jewish people were fleeing to the US at the rate of 3000 a day, and to Palestine at the rate of 300 a day.

Migration rates which, if continued for a year, would move another 1.2 million Jewish people out of range of WW2 Germany.

There was an interesting Youtube video interview with Black's parents. His mother is very upset about the book and says she dis-owns her son, even if he has his facts straight.

I also suggest listening to some of the 50,000 videos in the USC Holocaust Library database. Many of the Jewish survivors describe internment camps that are vastly different from what is taught in US schools. The survivors describe drama programs and swimming pools as being among the features of their WW2 Germany internment camps.

Those are just a few books, and information sources.

Perhaps a central & related question is, how many times do you have to find a group of people lying before you stop believing their BS ?

And an interesting factoid from the ATF about firearms in America.

I'm not putting it as a link because the ATF has a hard-on for taking firearms away from Cannabis users.

www.atf.gov/resource-center/docs/2016-firearms-commerce-united-states/download

I suggest copying the URL, and pasting it into a browser during a new browser session. i.e. not going from ICMag to the ATF website, the ATF can track the 'referring URL'.

I was trying to figure out how many semi-auto rifles & handguns there are in the US. I would ballpark it at 350 Million firearms (this does not include starter pistols for athletic events), and 100+ million semi-auto firearms.

1 trigger pull, 1 round fired, is the basic definition of semi-auto. So in some of the references they count revolvers and most handguns as also being semi-auto (though obviously with reduced muzzle velocity & range).

I have a hunch it might be 100 million semi-auto rifles alone but I didn't want to over-state it or spend a bunch of time on it.

Have you actually met and spoken to any holocaust survivors? Perhaps I should sue the Dallas Independent School District for malpractice, as they sanctioned an event where a holocaust survivor came in and talked to us about his experiences at an "internment" camp. It was nothing like a summer camp in the Catskills.

I was referring to David Hogg...... He is talking about taking guns away. He is making the same mistakes as Germany had made. Asking to take guns away, and using the youth as an excuse to take away liberties. Strait out of Hitlers strategy book, literally. :tiphat:

The entire world was strict on Abortion before 1973. Not a good example to compare strict abortion laws to Nazi Germany. That would be like Nazi's drove cars, anybody else that does is a Nazi. As for taking away rights using the children, that is all Nazi, and can be used as a compartment because it's the anomaly.

"Few citizens owned, or were entitled to own firearms in Germany in the 1930s.[1] The Weimar Republic had strict gun control laws.[7] When the Third Reich gained power, some aspects of gun regulation were loosened, such as allowing ownership for Nazi party members and the military.[4]:672 The laws were tightened in other ways. Nazi laws disarmed "unreliable" persons, especially Jews, but relaxed restrictions for "ordinary" German citizens."

Sounds just like the US's situation.... Oh wait no it doesnt.

Separation of church and state?

Sparking the toppling of monarchies?

Establishing inalienable rights?

Yeah I would say the French Revolution worked out well for the world at large.

This is what boggles my mind..... People thinking giving up guns is a revolution against the government......... It's almost like we have forgotten history all together........

So sad

What gave you the idea that I think giving up guns is in any way revolution?

but he doesnt have a shotgun.. why you want a gun?

No, he does have a shotgun, an auto, safety off. In fact he has a backup desert eagle too. Its my hypothetical scenario.
In yours he's a small lost child, unarmed, crying? And you present this an your argument against guns? that we don't need them because an intruder might just need a hug? I really wish we could use bad language occasionally, so I could tell you what to do next :)

Guns are the evolution of revolutions America is the only nation in the world with freedom of speech and the right to bear arms to my knowledge. All other countries are a joke, as will America if the people trying to infringe on our rights succeed.

Not without a fight!! It ain't just me, it's millions of Americans armed for just that reason, it's a right not a privilege and it shall not be infringed!!

But go ahead and March for your rights to be stripped. Lol, just remember the veterans and most of the military are on our side, some cops may be anti gun but we have the guns and the numbers and most anti gunners, well good luck bringing a knife to a gun fight. Lol

Making sure there's not another Parkland type incident, is a very separate issue from banning semi-auto's.

HOWEVER, not every person who self-identifies as "California liberal" gets it.

Gonna protect California schools by repealing the 2nd Amendment !!!

Yeah that's really gonna work /sarc

Idiots are using the recent mass shootings to push their political agenda. Which will do nothing to make the schools in their community safer from semi-auto handguns and rifles.

I just hope the young people protesting have some older people in their lives that can explain American society honestly to them.

The American caste system, the reason Harvey Weinstein was free to rape women for 40 years, the reason no American bankers faced prosecution for a financial crisis brought on by their fraud, and the important issue highlighted by some NFL players - Massive abuse of power under color of authority, by American "police"/ pirates. All inter-related.

I agree with the young people, they have a right to expect safe schools by a week from Monday.

But all the people around them are playing a Jedi mind trick and conflating the issue of widespread firearm ownership, with the very simple task of hardening American school security.

2 very separate issues. Hardening schools has some powerful short term solutions. Americans debating the 2nd Amendment - that's a long term process.

All other countries are a joke

I don't know about all but I certainly wouldn't defend Britain against that assessment. Im sorry to say it but my country is broken, perhaps irrevocably. The social conditioning, brainwashing, indoctrination, programming is almost complete. The vast majority of people here with an average or lower than average IQ are assimilated. They accept and comply. They do not question and do not want to question anything. Im thinking about leaving. Seriously.

The only person I've seen say repeal the 2nd amendment has been a reublican. Gun control does not equal gun confiscation.

Only problem with gun control is the right to bear arms is a right, not a privilege. We used to be able to own fully automatic rifles until the crime wave following the Volstead Act.

I think Al Capone and all where justified to break unjust laws personally. Just like I believe people who grow/sell drugs are justified to do so. We used to have whorehouses and opium dens everywhere used to be able to gamble as well, sure problems happened just not as bad as the roaring 20's to this day.

Drugs, prostitution and gambling should not be crimes. Of course selling fentanyl as heroin should be false advertisement and charged as negligent homicide if someone dies from falsely advertised drugs. Other than that I see no crime, you kill yourself with clean drugs, well sad, sad, but too fucking bad. Nobody gets in trouble if you drink yourself to death.

you're one of the few that seems to think that fully automatic firearms should be deregulated
if you take the 2nd amendment literally, i can see the interpretation
anyone else on the fully automatic bandwagon?
