Ah so it is. Looks very similar to a Washburn WG-580 with a different bridge.

OP- damn man, that is quite a collection, nice mixing board too, what do you run computer wise for recording? that acoustic is pretty nice lookin too, man you've amassed quite a collection, mine isnt even NEARLY that large of a collection! its awesome that you got your kids into music, its a lack of music education in our society that is a detriment! rock on OP!

Jack - I agree! Hollow body guitars are freakin awesome, they've got a sound that is perfect for jazz and blues, and shit any music! what am i sayin!

well, i am just lovin the selection here! rock on!

peace love and pot

not exactly any music... too much loud distortion will reverberate in the hollow body and make it sound like crap (I think distortion is mostly a crutch for sloppy players anyway). So if you arent good enough to play with a clean tone... stick with the butt-rocker axes.

Jack - I agree about the distortion on the hollow body it sounds like crap, tried it once at a local music store. I enjoy some distortion one in a while if your rockin some metal or some hard rock, but me and my friends dont really play alot of metal or hard rock, we usually play kind of jazzy clean rock which is perfect for a hollow body.

my PC thats setup for recording is a dual core AMD 4400 4gb ram, 2 x360 SATA's and a M Audio delta 10/10 with the interface (Firewire 10 input patchbay)
I run Sonar 6 Pro and sony soundforge for mastering and editing

the desk is only one of a few I own as I have my own PA and lighting rig I hire out to bands etc
I also work as a sound engineer with touring bands when I have time
mostly a band called the surogate pink floyd that play all over the Uk

I bought my oldset son his first drum kit when he was just old enough to stand behind one (just over 2 years old)
as he had so much fun playing one I had at home that I kept for a drummer in a band I worked with

my oldest son has been a stand in guitarist and occasionally a bass player ith the floyd band
when they have need of him, he first played with them on his 14th birthday playing acoustic with them on Mother, wish you were here and comfortably numb etc

and for my birthday this year we have a gig planned where I'll be playing an acoustic set on a stage
with both my sons and a another 2 sets (3 hrs in total) with musician friends of mine

I played the last one for my wife and she thought it was Greenday playing. The boy has a lot of talent for his age. You must be very proud of him.....as you should be.....

I am JJ they are great kids (they fight like cat and dog with each other) but generally there good kids
the normal round wher I live is for the kids to hang on the street corners drinking cheap wine and causing hassle
mine prfer to stay in and play music with there friends, wife gets annoyed with the constant drums but she puts up with it

OP - good stuff, your kids really got some talent, and its good that music helps keep them off the streets with the hooligans, it will affect their life positively in a great way.

Verite - Never even heard of them, read a little bit on that website and I liked what I read, especially against the throngs of ProTools and their DSP plug-ins. This relates a lot to a discussion I got into with one of the members of my band about not having to record the actual instruments because you can "just use a keyboard and ProTools to make all the sounds" which I found to be a stupid statement that angered me.

got some good news for us musicians
IC MAG will soon have its own music forum to discuss gear and styles etc

it may even be possible to get a few colabirations, its easy to post a link to youtube
then add your own take and post it back up

as a musician myself I'll be a part of the forum from day one
and as every musician I know likes a puff and there are loads here the new forum will rock from day one
