Quit your sales pitches bro. It's against TOU's and I personally am sick of it.

Awesome post Milky. Do you think that's what is in Bio Ad? I couldn't imagine Bio Ad without Sea Shield.

Yea shield is the main ingredient in one of the BA bottles. But john added other stuff to. No clue what though. The label may reveal something

And for the record that formula has not had sap or tissue testing. It is based on observation over a yr or so. Both ca and k lowered from the starting point...the tomato formula at the time. It has, however, been shown to produce awesome weed with top soil right out of the yard and some peat.

Dr Fever...for foliar N check out a product called ferti nitro. It is 80% aminos and peptides. It saves the plant energy because that ammonical N just gets oxidized to nitate anyways and then broken down to aminos then peptides then protein. You can save the plant a lot of energy that it can use for better things

It actually breaks down protein to peptide to amino... and then once inside the plant reconstruction begins amino to peptide to protein... cells and stuff.

Ferti nitro is soybean protein enzymatically broken down into aminos and peptides. Sprayed it can be taken up as aminos and peptides.

Are you talking about soil breaking down proteins?

The way you stated it was backward at least the way I read it. I get what you're saying now. It's a highly available form of nitrogen and is readily absorbed.

Spectrum extra theoretically converts na into k. Other than that they are identical. Only use extra if you have high na soil.

I like to alternate pz 1000 and micro 5000 every other week. Something to do with protein metabolism that I don't yet grasp but I trust the tainio guys.

Mykogen is biogen plus mykos...no reason not to use myko if you don't use acid phosphates.

The question I have is why not just spectrum instead of biogen. The differece is the food (whey) and housing(diatomaceous earth). Really do not see an advantage in our high organic soils....food and shelter already exist.

I use pep c...never looked at the others cause I love this one so much. Maybe if you could actually be certified organic it would matter

Edit...the salute line is individual miros. With sap testing it would allow you to really fine tune.

i'm eager to believe in 'biotransmutation' in regards to na to k conversion, but given the lack of a lot of evidence or even a proposed mode of action its hard for me to buy it... maybe some sort of microbial sequestering of na and solubilization of k? i think it's pretty reasonable to question a claim that is so counter to what humanity knows about physics and chemistry and how much energy it would take to modify an atom.

can you post a link for the salute micros? google is failing me. what is it about the Mo salute that is particularly beneficial for dealing with fungal pathogens?

Agrred hard to believe...goes against everything I was taught.

If you have some spec extra take a gallon of distilled water and dump some nacl in it. Then separate that into two jars. Add some spec extra to one jar. Let em sit a month and shake them when you think about. Get water analysis on both and compare na vs k in the two jars.

If there is a difference it is gonna be hard to explain. If there is micrrobe sequestering going on wouldn't that mean the microbes in extra came pre loaded with K? How do they stay healthy trading k for na?

I don't have a clue. This one is well above my pay grade.

I am curious about Mo also. If you are short on Cu I have heard that can help against fungal disease. Always thought Mo was just part of the nitrase reductase enzyme.

Anyways about 2 weeks ago 5 sraight days of record rain and 2 right at freezing nights. Frost on the plants one morning. Not a hint of mold so far. I love me some aea.

Edit...I do not have a link to the salute micros. I believe you have to talk with a rep. They don't want you to kill plants as they are meant to be used based on sap analysis. But at 2-3% and already liquid they are damn handy for correcting soil defs based on analysis. Co is definitely an interesting one.

Sfv is finishing up. My favorite strain in the garden this year. Ready for those ba labels to get slapped on so this program can be simplified.

Ferti Nitro over PureProtienDry? I have always liked PPD.

I've been reading about it... fish emulsion can have heavy metals and over time they accumulate poisoning your soil and plants... or at least that's the theory. Idk how big of an issue it really is since fish emulsion is made with ocean going fish.

Ferti-nitro is enzymatically digested soy meal. Seems more safe and eco-friendly. It's also inexpensive. I just bought a lb. Oh yeah, it has to smell better too!

Got my 1st boron toxicity (i think) using Photo Mag lol.

looked like combo of Mg def and K def at same time with some leaf twist.

sprayed foliar on too thick with thermx 70 as wetting agent.

I foliar with a combo of fetri nitro, pure protein dry, pepzyme C, em-1, all 3 of caps benes and forgot what else. They started to grow like crazy again and bout 8 days later looked fine.

Anyone else besides me using AeA and Taino stuff in pure Coco?

Sea Shield at 1/ml gallon drench 3 times a week and not seen no more fungas gnats in my beds in months.

OD Cherry Pie.

Yep...that was me. Don't know what happened. B would start as a tip burn...Photomag combined with MicroPak may be a hair much B. I am currently spraying Photomag and Albions micros which do not include B...working great
