What are you guys using to squeeze sap? I got a handheld pollen press but i have to wrench it for a drop. Idk how to do this but if i could add a gear to it i think it would let you crank it harder? I got more drops when i used pliers but thats too time consuming and it doesnt always work. Also, do you get any of the petiole or do you pinch it at the base of the leaf to exclude the petiole?

O- hahaha well shit you just thought up your new line of chelated nutrients. It sounded plausible enough. All types of weird shit happen when you add heat. Caramel for ex is a huge mix of random compounds. You should see the names.

Also I use an atomizer. And use 2 gallons per 800 sqft about 4-6 ft high.

Just an update on that 6% accelerate and did the math it was closer to 6.5%

Happytree, nice gh. Ive used micropak at 7.5ml a gal no problem but idk if thats low or high.

So glycine is $10 a lb. Why not add it all! Im going to make a micro concentrate for foliar and just throw in humic, fulvic, citric, and glycine.

What makes liquid biomin calcium dark though? I dont recall hydrolyzed veg protein being dark at all...

I agree with Jidoka fulvic works well for metals so why fux with it, if your trying to chelate calcium remember humics attach to Ca so not a good choice for plant availability. Also humics are much better as a soil conditioner than as a foliar spray chelate, boron and urea are the main nutrients that will bond well with humics due to its alkalinity through the potassium hydroxide extraction process.

Planting you said 7.5 ml per gallon of Micropak, per what volume of soil? Is that in a 10% solution of soil volume?

Anyone else have used Micropak at higher rates? Im doing about 1/2 cup to 1 cup in 300 gal. for the whole greenhouse thats about 5% of the soil volume in solution

Check out my ex employers product dicamba. Selling resistant seeds before it even got approved....that's some smart business right there. Gotta protect yourself ahead of time before your neighbor sprays it on a windy day.

They look like shit.

How are you guys push fertigation thru drip? This sucks.

Anything with humic acid in it is a recipe for fucked up fertigation. Chuck some leonardite in the soil up front

Edit...and chelate those metals with fulvic

For fertigation I pump thru a 155 and then 200 mesh filters in series. Then into the drip emitter tubing.

My problem is the filters clog in 10 seconds.

Fucking freezing temps in May put me behind schedule. So now there's no room to move under the tarp. It was 31 last week lmao....colorado. 40 degrees between highs and lows

Jidoka I've been using fulvic to get whats in the soil into the plant....could be a feeble attempt.

same for me 4 nights of 30 degree weather.

had to protect my new lil girls from the dying freeze. made it through ok
thx for the feedback on mircopak

what do you think your putting through that is clogging the filter? just about to start my fertigation also

hey reppin-

this winter fucked a lot of us, I was waaaay late too.

I run t-tape in beds in my gh, I gave up trying to run aea for the same reason you mentioned, I even bought a dozen extra filters so I could keep swapping em out and clean em all at once. fucking pain.

i'll do a light salt through t-tape then plain h20.

then on aea days I still just wand water, no filters. it gets the whole bed wet and I can wash/foliar the plants, plus I spend more time looking at em..

I don't know how big your gh's are but aea will clog everything up in drippers and smell like rotten fucking dead animal... wand is time consuming but the only way I can get it done.

Ya almost all AEA products clog, well all the ones I need. I flush the lines with clean water after.

Vansil and solution grade gypsum flow thru pretty good.

I may result to a sprinkler. Gonna have to get inventive with a rope to pull through

Hey! Howzit guys? Things are going pretty well over here. I burned a few plants because I accidentally made a soap spray stronger than I meant to. Fortunately I only sprayed 5 plants with it and they're recovering nicely. I'm happy with this run so far especially considering it's the first run in this old pineapple dirt. Here's a couple pics:

I think this one is about 5.5-6' tall and about as wide.

This plant I was hoping to get some opinions on. All the fan leaves off of one branch started going yellow. It seemed like it started in the middle and worked it's way up and then worked it's way down and now the yellowing is spreading to the rest of the plant. I thought maybe it was a iron deficiency, but my iron levels should be in range. I also figured it could be a borer beetle or something like that, but I couldn't find any damage along the stem or branches that would suggest that. So now I'm guessing it's a root pest of some kind. Does anybody else has an idea? Here's a progression of pics:

I think I took this pic yesterday. The yellowing got worse.

Here's what the top leaves looked like a few days ago.

And some lower leaves from a couple days ago.

This was the other side of the plant a couple days ago. The yellowing has spread to it also as of today.

And the top leaves today on the side of the plant that was still green, but is now getting progressively yellow

I'm assuming this plant is a lost cause, but it would be cool to get some ideas if you guys have any so I hopefully I can stop it from happening to any other plants.

Uh oh, things don't usually go south like that unless a pest is involved. Looks like she stopped feeding and is showing deficiencies because of that.
I'd check it for pests and if nothing shows up maybe try and give her a azamax drench and foliar or something. I wouldn't smoke it but you could at least see if it bounces back and was indeed a pest problem.

On the other hand, I've seen plants go downhill quickly like that when they don't have enough food. If they've had a lot of especially sunny days lately, the feed/water may have been insufficient

My best guesses good luck

@lightweight. It's an issue with the stalk/base or a root disease. Good chances you'll find a mushy stalk/base. Probably a lost cause at this point but maybe you can limp it along. Something is better than nothing. It's need to breathe and dry out. Remove any thing that can harbor moisture on the top layer. Get a fan blowing under the canopy 24/7.

Hey positivity! Howzit? It's rikdabrick from RIU. The Hawaii Growers thread is still cruising over there. Thanks for your input!

And thank you oct for your input too! I'll see if I can limp it along, but I have a feeling she's a goner.

Here's a couple pics from the end of the day:

I don't think it's a soil problem; as you can see the plants around her are happy.

20170621_155638_resized_1.jpg

I'm going to assume it's a type of boring bug. The only times I've had branches yellow on me this fast and plants go down this quick have been from boring bugs. We've got a couple bugs here that will bore into the stems/stalk and wreak havoc. Fortunately, it's not a regular occurence, but I used to lose plants once in awhile to them when I grew straight outdoors. This in the first one for me in a greenhouse I believe. I'll inject some Spinosad into her and hopefully kill whatever it is doing this. That's a little trick I picked up from some squash growers for some of their boring bug problems, just FYI. I'm not sure that trick works on cannabis, but this could be a good time to try.

Anyway, thanks guys for the feedback!
