What's you guys opinions on how many lbs of amendments it would take to fill peat with ferts to achieve a 1.0 ec. Im thinking it's around 4lbs but I could be way off

Also dont tell me half a ton of gypsum lmao

on a side not the cut i transplanted into that oak soil is doing good. Has a light tint and waxy.

What kind of amendments? Some amendments might get tied up immediately, some might be totally soluble and wash out, some might slowly break down over time. Not all amendments will contribute to soil EC equally by weight. And you didn't specify how much peat? Per yard?

I was thinking 1 cu ft but that's a pretty loaded question as you stated with each amendment have its own characteristics.

I think I'm gonna do a small batch split it and do half at 2 lb and the other at 4 lbs total per cuft and get an analysis. Probably use something simple like happy frog 5-5-5.

Why don't you try to saturate the CEC with the calcium source of your choosing first, and get it tested and see how much that takes. Then do the math on how much K and micros you need?

Does anybody have any experience with sagebrush removal and allelopathic residuals? Last time I broke new ground there wasn't much sagebrush and I was able to keep plants 10 plus feet away from it. I really want to take advantage of what the clay has to offer but curious how long that runs its course.

EDIT fuck the new soil I got is from a gamble oak stand and oaks also release toxins. Im gonna go grab some and trans into it to see if Im fucked

sage brush hate wet feet

Good idea. That should get you ballpark. Tom Hill use to use 67 lbs of 3-2-2 per yard. He shot for 0.7

I think my pots went fungal after I hit them with a 1% solution of sea shield

Pacific grow labels and ships sea sheild from their plant. They have typicaL analysis on their web site.

I sent in samples is a and b for analysis

On AEA's website it says seasheild is 2-0.5-0.3. Then on pacific grows website they say their hydroslate is 2-1-0.3. Whats the difference?

I had a question pertaining to sea shield and was wondering if you ever use it as a drench? and if so what rate and if so how far into flower?

Yes drench away. I use it from 1-5 ml a gallon to 4 weeks out. But its pretty hard to go to far.

Btw I'm pretty sure it has some instructions on the label

Now it comes with biochar....like WHAT

I'd be careful with that biochar. In something like a coots mix, you already have plenty (too much) carbon, and biochar does tend towards alkalinity. I prefer a more soluble carbon source, like sugar.

i met the fed-ex guy for my latest "skid of woo" yesterday.
good news-
the holo p and rejuv 5's were actually sent in a 6 instead of 2- 2.5's.
the sea sheild 5 is still 2-2.5's.
everything was perfect- no leaks or exploded bottles:biggrin:

I have put pacific grow and Sea shield, fresh batches, next to each other and they are not the same. IMO. Pacific grow is much thinner.

You guys still ordering nutrient IED's? lol.
