As of a couple months ago I spoke with skyhighler and he told, paraphrasing, me that the only digital gauge that is worth the buck is the yellow jacket which is 400. Thats not in the itinerary as of yet

Yellow Jacket 69075, ~$275 @ eBay for a solid instrument. After reading through the Amazon reviews of cheaper units they all sounded like losers to me. Working with sticky cannabis oil is enough taxing of one's patience, let alone having a bitchy new piece of equipment, get the YJ. ;-)

If AI's manufacturing is connected to China...... you won't hear back from the engineer until March. China shuts down basically for the month of Feb for their national holidays.

from what ive heard its a collaboration between USA and China. they own the manufacturer and im sure they have just as good of people over here modding the machines that are already here. they add the backfill ports, upgrade to the new PID's, change valve types and locations, ect. they have no excuse not to get back to me when i toss them so much money. They fed me this bs of always answering my questions asap and being there for me, yet they cant even provide me with steps to get this beast up and running. like the fact that i read (or was told) that you have to crank her up to 400*f or something like that in order to burn away the residue and all that funky chizz yet it has ZERO directions on what to do pre-use. it gives troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, how to change out parts, ect. but not a thing to start it up. a side comment was in there that if you dont operate the machine at 120*c that you should re auto tune it, but that was a little "hint box" on the trouble shoot pages.... Im sold on the fact that im hard to please and being an only child doesnt give me the right to stomp my feet, but you cant tell me youll give me the world- then flick a penny at me and tell me life is what you make of it. When you tell me to ask any questions that will help me get started and you cant answer any of them, thats a bit jank in my book.

Sooo you all know where to get ovens for less in socal right? I've never heard their company mentioned before on this site but I'm sure it has been. After tax a 1.9 is 1850 and free shipping! ! It's a dfz 6050 from keda. Just a different color but same model. Some said DHL got a oven to them in Canada from keda for like 1180 total cost. The people in socal might hook up quantity discounts too, ai will not unless your getting a lot. Purposely not.mentioning the company name cause they are selling like hot cakes and the long shore man strike is fuck in everything up. There last shipment went quick. They sold 20 of them in one weekend and I missed out. Fresh batch is sitting in port just waiting and I want to make sure I secure my order.

If operating in a commercial environment, you may require additional certification as there are some issues here imo. Appears that many of these DZF 6050 models are lacking UL / CSA certification. Be aware of this in the event you need certified appliances in your facility.

Well god damn I didn't know that. I'll ask them next time on the phone if they have certification in socal.

What you'd be asking (for U.S.) is UL certification. In Canada its CSA. Also noted they seem to have many models of the 6050 with various suffix nomenclature, some models are certified, others say upon request they will have them certified. Although some components are certified, some may not be so don't be suckered by language indicating "transformer UL certified".

I've seen oven spec sheets that state high temperatures may warp or deform the oven walls, however they stress this is not considered an issue as long as the shelf holders are not affected.

Thanks for the info, I'm sure others can benefit from it who read this later, I luckily am just a small hobbyist so I need no certification for my personal at home tinkering, thank god. I'll still ask them if their ovens are UL certified.

Not sure how certification works in the US, but in Canada the electrical appliance can be factory certified (almost never happens with many overseas manufacturers) or the importer must have each and every unit inspected once it arrives in country and certified. It is a very costly and time consuming enterprise, that slows down the supply line considerably and jacks up the end consumers costs.

You can have an outside testing lab certify that the machine meets UL, ASME, etc.

Inside bottom of my A.I. oven is warped as all hell, I have not been very impressed so far.
For commercial application I would look elsewhere. You get what you pay for.

Thanks I just got off the phone with them and they said something similar, if is shelf bracket is messed up they would take care of it but it doesn't seem to mess with the integrity of it.

There are alot of poorly made ovens that are alot cheaper, I know it is not a Cascade TEK but I figured with the price tag I would get copper piped internals not barbed with rubber hosing.

There are plenty of people out there that seem to make them work and put out good looking product. There is just a learning curve with this just like everything else, I just wanted it to work like magic right out of the box lol.

Is anyone using the thermometer that have a probe at the end of a thin wire? The ones I have turn off after 30 or 45 mins and are inside the oven. Was seeing if anyone had used one like the one described with success I have doubts it would keep the seal on my vac.
