Abby's Bud Shack

Long time, no see Abby! Your gorgeous bud shots are sorely missed on ICMag, my friend. With you and CC missing so much these days, ICMag just isn't the same. Maybe the "dog days of summer" that are now starting have something to do with the low attendence these days. Oh well, we look forward to your more regular return soon!

Howdy GMT, Wee, and Rellikbuzz, glad you all stopped by to say hello. The last pictures I posted were from my last grow, which were from seeds provided by my good buddy weeweeman, so nice to see you here my friend! Thanks Rellikbuzz for the kind words, I don't have much time it seems these days, but I'll try to stop by more often.

I had a few moments to take some pics today of the current grow of the sc99 and Soma Lavender, so I thought I would share with you folks. The sc99 are clones from the last grow, and of course they all look the same. The Soma Lavender came from seeds (thanks again Sunnyside!) and so far it appears I have 3 different phenos as each plant looks different. To be honest, I was expecting much more uniformity, considering Soma seeds are considered to be a "top shelf" product. Here's a picture of the largest Soma:

**well, sorry folks, looks like no pics for awhile as the storage space on my account apparently got cut in half. Weird...

Hiya Zep, thanks for the advice! Looks like everything is fixed now, so thanks to GL or whomever it was that helped remedy the situation. :woohoo:

Well, I think I left off at describing the differences between the Soma Lavendars, so here is the largest Soma pheno:

This plant reminds me alot of BOG's Sour Bubble 1BX as far as body shape, with branches that grow up very close to the main stem instead of branching out. Although this Soma does not have the extraordinarily large leaves of the SB, they are still large enough to cover almost all of the lower buds. You can also tell just how leafy the plants structure is, what a beast it will be to trim!

The next Soma Lavendar pheno is quite different, not as large or bushy as the first, and definitely a lot fewer leaves. However, the most striking difference is the amount of trichs, this gal is loaded. But don't take my word for it, what do you think?

That plant above is just now staring to put on some color and bud weight, and some of you may notice it is seeded as well. I did a little pollination with a male Soma on both the Lavendar and the sc99 clones. But I did save a few plants aside just for the buddage, as this picture of a younger Soma pheno will show:

This last pheno is different in structure than the other two, even though the buds are too young to tell if they will be as resinous as pheno #2. But this last pheno does bear a striking resemblance to the sc99 clones. Take a look at the pic below:

This is the sc99 clone, and while the bud structure is certainly different, the plants do look very similar in body and leaf type. Here's a seeded sc99 that I had trained in a "Leaning Tower of Pisa" fashion:

and a closer look:

Right now the plants are receiving a feeding every 2-3 days, and have just now started to put on bud weight, as their earlier growth was going to mostly seed production. The oldest plants had been in flower mode for about 36 days at the time the photos were taken. Do I have a favorite plant in this grow? Matter of fact I do...

what process do you use, as far as using your nutes from seedling to flower..... I have the same nutes and this is my first ever grow. i was using miracle grow 10-15-10 at low doses for the few weeks until I got my earth juice grow-bloom, and ff big bloom. Now they get a steady drink of EJ-grow! I'm curious because I've noticed a lil' burn in my babys :yoinks:
right now i'm in day 36 of veg. pistils are every where; no buds showing but it's just about time too. :canabis:

Greetings All!
With the July 4th holiday now over, I thought I would sneak a few moments before bedtime to drop by and update the Bud Shack with a few new pictures. Before I do, a quick shout out to all of you that dropped by to visit and say hello... even to those of you who like to visit but not say anything. For some reason I am having a flashback to the jail scene in the cult classic Kentucky Fried Movie: "... and these are lost drunken men who know where they are but don't care!" Must be the Heaven's Horn I smoked earlier... it can be almost hallucinatory if you smoke too much of it. :yoinks:

zeppelindood - Have no fear - Abby Normal is here, and I just happened to bring some new eye candy with me!

Mrs.Babba - Howdy ma'm, glad your enjoying the pics, I'll try and stop by more often... good luck with your soma!

Gamera - Glad you enjoyed your first visit to the Bud Shack, some on by anytime!

Ms.Grat3ful - Howdy Ms. G, always nice to see you, hope you and your hubby are doing well. Thanks for stopping by! :joint:

sunnyside - Hey Sunny! Well, the Soma are doing okay for the most part, although I am not happy with the performance of the plants after seeding. Buds have not put on any noticable girth since seeding, and two of the plants will have to be harvested early due to suddenly becoming light sensitive and burning. Very strange to me, not quite sure why as the other plants seem fine. No color change I'm afraid, it looks like the lavendar might require cooler temps to stimulate pigemnt changes. We'll see... at least we'll have lots of seeds to play with! I crossed the soma with the sc99 as well as made F2's.

Sleepy - Glad you like my little stash, sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming :yummy:

cashcrop - Thanks for dropping in, come on back anytime!

mosess187 - Sorry, I have no time to go into processes now, but if I can impart one bit of wisdom, it would be too much love can be a bad thing!

GMT - Thanks, but ummmm, I'm not that kind of guy! Seriously though, thanks for the nice words, glad you enjoy my work.

Okay, time for some pics!
