Howdy Farmer John! Those are certainly some beautiful looking Bogglegum you had there, I see we both like big BOG gals. I notice you use the large plastic stake I saw at Home Depot, did you find it a necessity with the BOG's? All of mine have such a huge stem infrastructure that I really don't think they'll need any additional support, but to play it safe I put in the 4' thin bamboo stakes on the Lifesaver and Super Sweet Cindy. If you look at the picture below of the topped Lifesaver, you can see the buds have almost reached the top of the stake.
She is a pretty good sized gal, about 3' tall and 3' wide, just a big ball of buds. I placed her almost directly under the 1000W light to see how much growth I can get from the lower branches, so far she is responding well. Here's a nice pic showing her in all her glory... and yes that is just one plant.
As mentioned earlier, I pollinated one of the topped Lifesavers main colas with some of the Sour Bubble, you can still see some of the mix on the leaf in the picture below.
Her sister Lifesaver is not nearly as big, but does have even more resin as this picture below will show:
Hello Capt. Crip - I do believe in healthy plants, thank you for noticing. As for the expert grower part... I don't really know what I'm doing, I just stick this little seed in some dirt and a plant pops out, and then it just hops into the jars and then somehow finds it way into my pipe. It's the damndest thing!
Here's one more Lifesaver shot, from day 29 of flower:
Greetings immortal - Thanks for stopping by and sharing. The only thing that I can "see" that you did wrong was forget to put on your glasses when you took that picture. All I can tell is that is appears to be a bud about the size of an orange BIC lighter. If that is your top bud from a 3' plant, you definitely did not achieve your full potential, but there could be a myriad of reasons why. If at first you don't succeed... try again! Here's a little pic of the main cola of my larger Super Sweet Cindy:
As you can see, she is pristine, I did not pollinate this part of the plant. I did however, pollinate the main cola of the smaller SSC, or ssc99, whatever you wish to call it. To be honest, I haven't seen anything on the Super Sweet Cindy, just the Sweet Cindy... so I don't really know what the secret "super" ingredient is! Here's a little shot of the main cola of the smaller SSC, notice she's starting to swell, as well as turn color.
Hey sunnyside - thanks for stopping by, have 4 somas above ground so far, I expect the rest to come up tomorrow!
Greetings All! A shout out to zeppelindood, glasspackedbowl, Fatboy - thanks for dropping by guys - glad you're all enjoying the show.
Well, so far the BOG gals are doing great, with the only disapointment being the Sour Bubble. While it may have a fair amount of resin, my SB girl is mostly all stem and leaf... with very little bud at all. My experience with the SB has not lived up to BOG's hype, with a very high percentage of males, and the one SB girl I did get not producing much in the way of buddage. The real test of any grow is, of course, after the harvest when the yield is measured and the buds are smoked. So we shall save our final opinion until that time has come, but at this point, the Sour Bubble is my least favorite of the 3 BOG's I have in flower. Here's the Sour Bubble at 33 days of flower:
Compare the picture above of the Sour Bubble 1BX, with the next picture of my favorite BOG gal, Cindy1, the Super Sweet Cindy. Cindy1 is a big girl, as tall as the SB but easily 3x the size. Here's a shot of her main cola with the Sour Bubble directly behind:
Now, which would you choose? Before you answer that question, have a look at my other BOG sweetheart, the Lifesaver. For resin development, the Lifesaver beats the Sour Bubble and Super Sweet Cindy hands down. Not much in the way of color yet, but damn, I think even her trichomes have trichomes! Here's a closer look at the Lifesaver also at 33 days of flower:
WOW fuggin WOW excellent job everyone you all make me say WOW fuggin WOW

peace chucky
Howdy Folks,
So glad to see y'all made yourselves at home here in the Bud Shack. Shouts out to Friend2U, Salakavala, WeekendWarrior, doja423, Budgrinder, sttb, chuckyoufarley and Farmer John... thanks guys for all the kind words, help yourselves to the beer in the fridge. Thanks to Farmer John for his additional information on the Sour Bubble, much obliged! I had sent several of the sour bubble seeds to my OG buddy who got me started in this and his SB buds look completely different as well, so it may be just my bad luck on this Sour Bubble run... if you could call it bad luck. Actually, it's not bad at all, the plant is quite beautiful and she is just now starting to get a little color. Take a look for yourself:
She is really starting to frost up nicely now, as you will notice in this next shot. You might also see what I mean about the plant being more stem and leaf than bud. But the bud she does have looks mighty sweet, although not much in the smell department... yet anyways. I think when I do the F2 seeds I will top them and train the branches out in veg, it appears these BOG bitches are into bondage. Here's the frosty gal:
The Lifesaver is the one I can smell the most of, a real sweet fragrance just like candy. That and the Super Sweet Cindy which also has a very sweet but more fruity aroma. It's almost like opening the door to a candy store when I go in the flower room... in more ways than one! Here's some Lifesaver:
everyone knows you just can't have one Lifesaver... here's another:
Sorry I haven't been able to post lately, things have been quite busy here in the real world, and today is actually the first real respite that I have had for several weeks. The Bog gals are now on day 50 of flower, and have been on their water only diet for several days. I have next to me a small jar of some dried buds from the lower branches of the BOG girls, and I have sampled the SB, which despite it's "live" cat crap smell, is not that bad. When dried, it has a lemony leather flavor, almost like Lemon Pledge. Smoke is smooth and it packs a good punch, a very heavy indica style stone which will make a fine addition to the bud cellar. I have yet to try the others, hope to get to that a little later today!
I anticipate the BOG's to be ready for harvest next weekend at the earliest, at this point it is more a matter of making sure the seeds are mature enough to harvest, than waiting for peak potency. The seeds are very close to being done, and next Saturday will be day 56 for the BOG's, which should be right in line with BOG's harvest timeline of 8 weeks. At this stage of the game they are putting on the bud weight, and I have already had the topped Lifesaver break apart and have to be cable tied together due to it's rather large and heavy main buds. So, without further ado, here's some pics so you can see the kids for yourselves!
A special shout out to Fredster, Sunnyside and Steel Savage - thanks for dropping by fellas!
