^ That's my gear and garb for the San Diego 100 mile mountain trail marathon...that I'm competing in.....well...in...a couple days...Friday-Saturday.

Got my last run in today (6 miles)..kicking it and grubbing....fattening up. The temps are going to be around 90 degrees on race day. It's going to be a long hot day...and night...melt downs prevalent..dreams being made and ruined. I can't see this as not being a slug fest between a runner and his elements. No Karma No Faith No Nothing....push...and if I am to fall....I wish to fall forward...get back up...and fall some more if I have to.

My mind may do well to be elsewhere....and especially not on worrying about shit that I'm not qualified to have an opinion on....or on something that doesn't have anything to do with running mountains and shining in the NOW.

all I care about...right now... is this trip into the 100 mile portal. It's a selfish endeavor...and one not to be taken lightly...


beg the pardon...but that's where I am. I can not let myself fail. I have this disease. I have to know where the limits are. I have to have adventure....challenges...the suffering...the glory moments..all the me me me me
