Hi Karra,

Glad you wanted to try the pure Malawi after growing Golden Tiger and Zamaldelica, that's a good sign, much appreciated :)

I have never tried grafting with cannabis (and i wonder why). Sounds cool but probably won't be very useful, grafting works best with perennial plants rather than with annual.
I wonder if grafting female clones over a male base would confuse hormonally the females and vice versa. Sounds enough interesting to try the experiment. You may need to use lots of hormones to be successful, and protect the grafts from wind and heat. Please, keep us updated in case you try it!

Good luck also with the Malawi pollinations!

Hi hobbi ur,

Really nice to be able to follow the flowering progresses of your Malawi clones in a single post :)
Are all the clones from the same female ? Or the different flowering structures depend on growing variables like proximity to the lamp, heat, etc ... ?

Hi Lincoln2018,

Both are structurally classic Malawi phenos, i doubt they are purple phenos as those phenos usually show the colors quite early, we will need to wait until last stage of flowering when they define more evidently their flower density and resin potential (in case of the Killer phenos) or more pungent sweet aromas (fruity phenos).

Mr. Dubi, yes all of them originates to one mother. The differences are partly based on genetics/ and environmental factors I reckon. It really is a significant strain with a significant hunger :) wow

i see you guys have a great horticultural knowledge here which i really appreciate! good men

2 phenos are ready after 9 weeks - both of them are compact, rock hard, sweet smellin. (the usual flowering time would be 11-14 weeks)

Close up from a nug of second plant down above, took this sample at bout 9 weeks...
How much longer yall think? I was guessing at least 2 more maybe? Smell is so nice, like some exotic incense herb with hint of clove n slight durban sweetness, maybe some vanilla notes in there too, just real refreshing, almost intoxicating to smell.

Hi GET MO,

What a lovely Malawi bud in your post #1468! :yummy:
Looks close to Killer Malawis in resin production, but after reading your description of her terpenes i think it is the sweet fruity pheno.

If you ask me, i think it needs approx 10-14 days more of flowering since this photo was taken, so start the flushing as soon as possible.

Enjoy the harvest! ;)

Thanks dubi!:thanks:
Is there a somewhere I can find the info on the different pheno types and variations? I know its probably in this thread but quite a bit of pages to look through...
Here goes a zoomed out cleaned up version of that nug.

Looks like a fungus but before making anything wait for some more info.
I would take off the affected leaves, increase air circulation, lower the humidity and apply a filter on the air intake. Also would check for soil and maybe use a vacuum cleaner to clean the top soil, but maybe that would be a bit extreme.
Hopefully you get it under control asap.

Cheers

Impressive photo GET MO! :tiphat:

Mine is about 1,5 weeks from finishing, started flushing today.

Hints of vanilla. Had a ton of pests problems so anything I got will be fine and not to be taken as a reference... but even with that, yield is gonna be pretty respectable.
