mine are quite different but i took the route of essentially no supercropping and minimal defoliation (until the last two weeks when I had to do some of both). Im at D 67 now and your heads are more nug-like than mine and your calyces are definitely more swollen than mine. Even my fastest developing plant is weeks to go

Hope I'm not oversharing but here's what pheno's turned up in my pack. These are all D 67 under a DE 630 CMH in a 5x5x7'9" tent

the first photo shows the Malawi's filling the back 2/3 of the tent (sorry for the blurry sections). My early finisher with the heavier cola formation is om the middle. The second tier of netting is at 4' 3". I defoliated most of the unders between the two tiers

Couple photos of my Malawi ladies. Lovely plant feels Rootsy and I love these Crown like clusters the top colas are becoming. Thank You Ace Seeds!

onavelzy that is absolutely stunning. What temperature bulb did you flower under, 3k-red?

3K. I really didn't know which bulb to get as I'd never grown before so i asked the vendor for their recommendation.

I don't know about stunning. Every day when I open the tent, I think, "God, what a mess!"

I harvested the smaller hybrid plants that were in the front row Now I'm debating how to best go about spreading these rascals out. They're weaved into two tiers of netting. I'm thinking of adding an upper tier, then cutting out the bottom layer of netting and then trying to slide the pots around. I may need to cut some of the second tier of netting to get the spacing out of the posts, so we'll see what's feasible. I don't want to make it worse than it is.

The enemy of good is better?

Starting to see some color changes going on. Now starts the next phase and the fun funky woody resinous aroma is developing nicely.

Cob curing is my next move and happy growing to all!!!

Really impressive onavelzy, thanks for the update and for confirming that you are growing Malawi regular version, indeed these wilder and more tropical Malawi phenos are easier to find in the regular version, the fem version is much more tamed thanks to the New Killer Malawi influence in the last breeding step of current Malawi fem release.

Looks like they are finishing more or less their early flowering stretching, next weeks (with proper intense light intensity) they will fatten up a lot.

Hi ULMW,

So nice to see you are so advanced into flowering with your Malawis! :)

She looks very close to the Old Killer Malawi in all senses, and quite early flowering ;) Thanks for all your updates and contributions to this room! :huggg:

Hi bigsur51,

What a growth! :D That's 100 % sativa outdoors vigor!

Maybe i'm wrong, but i don't see any intersex sign in your pic, looks like he is a full male.

Lovely update ULMW :)

As always, your plants looks super healthy and very well focused for their indoors flowering  Your Malawi is going to become even more impressive in the upcoming month, may consider to support her colas from now onwards as they are going to get big, heavy, fat and resinous ;)

Greetings Dubi,
Thank you for the good words and guidance as always. Many Thanks for the great genetics and breeeding you have done. The Malawi and all Ace plants just take care of themselves with minimal input from me. I have added a few support stesks and will set Yoyos for Malawi.
Here is a selection from lights out time. I had a quick clean up and saw chance to do a few pics.
Start of week 9.
Peace and Happy Growing!

Your Malawi is much more substantial than mine. It won't be long before she's carrying branch breaking weight.

I crowded mine in early growth and then nearly broke her in half with clummsy LST. Even with my bad handling, the buds are now so heavy with resin and flowers that the stems are all bent over.
