a ppk for a 6 plant limit

5 to 6 pounds typically. Depends on strain characteristics, of course.

Let me put it you this way....for every penny I spend, I get ten pennies back. I can't find a more productive system or setup for the laws I operate under (and given that space limitation).

What would your ideal room dimensions be for a 4 plant/5 light setup with 600s in the corners and a 1000 in the center? What about all 1000s?

How many weeks is veg to achieve or get close to those number when going into flower?

Hey @fliptopbox, how is your single plant ppm coming along? Really interested in your setup as it suits my experiment requirements. Peace.

Root aphids got the first; never get clones from strangers. :) The second was pulled early due to buying a house and moving. When I get my new room setup in a few months I'll start a thread.

I use rooms anywhere from 10x10 to 12x12...ish. My latest flower room uses 4 x 1000 watt DE fixtures in a 12x12' (w/10' ceiling).

I never need ph up but I used the Advanced Nutrients concentrated ph down. No issues.

I live on a limestone shelf so ph naturally rises.

^ what he said about Advanced Nutrients.

I usually have to adjust pH in the opposite direction and bump it up.

For the purposes of this thread and setting up a PPK grow, you can use the same pH products for different types of media (Turface, Perlite, Coco mix etc). It doesn't matter.

The Advanced stuff is SUPER concentrated and lasts a long time. This bottle is old (you can tell by the label) and still almost 1/3rd full.

Whether you need to add pH UP or DOWN, if you're using the Advanced Nutrients product, start with just a few drops at a time per (5) gallons of nutrient solution and even less if you're mixing a lower volume.

Yep, this is the stuff! I really like how concentrated it is. Fill a water bottle with it....it's heavier than water which is fun.

Regarding veg times:

There are a few things to consider when estimating growth rate. Is your room perfectly sealed? Vapor pressure deficit correct? Co2? Strain vigor? Light spectrum and intensity? Training technique? Overall room design/setup?

Given how I usually do things though, I root a cutting in a solo cup for 10-14 days, then into the ppk for another 3-4 weeks depending....then flip. For a one pound plant, I top at the 7th decent lateral and let the plant get to 30" all around. Then flip. Foe two pounds, about 36-42". For 4 pounds, 54-60".

Once again thanks to everybody who chimed in on my ph adjustment question. It is much appreciated. I ended up going with the concentrated stuff from advanced nutrients.

I mixed up a gallon of jacks last night to 600 ppm using RO water just as a test to see where I'm starting at and my PH was down at 4.8. Am I remembering correctly didn't D9 mention in a past post say to let it sit for 24 hours to allow time for all the ju ju to mix around and then check it and adjust?
