Ive watched quite a few youtubes on small houses. I follow sailing blogs also for some strange reason.. my room here is my ship i guess. Anyways cant do a tiny house cause i need a pretty good sized crapper and enough leg room to get some decent leverage to pass the missus' high fiber diet shes attempting to kill me with. until last friday i had been thc free or starved depending on your viewpoint, for about 5 months because of the hepc therapy. but then i got the last month of doses in my refrigerator so from now on they can go fuck themselves. they would have to come in and take it from a drug crazed old fuck standing in front of the fridge with a baseball bat in his hands.

thank you! this will be my fourth round of anti-viral therapy. the first 3 were variations on the interferon/ribivarin treatment, lasted a year each, and were very difficult to get through with all kinds of severe side effects. all 3 cleared the virus from my blood stream only to have it return several months later.
this one is the new harvoni therapy. which is a pill a day of the harvoni plus 4 a day of ribivarin and lasts 84 days. it is especially effective for people like me who have been through other therapies that failed and are post transplant.
i've been taking cannacaps since last friday. they're pretty good! one cap is an all day affair. but they are all up and motivating (sour-d/gdp 50/50) and i have trouble sleeping on them. pretty cool to give to anyone working for you though. i leave a small bowl of them out for the guys building my new room and they are regular buzz saws working.
i'm about to make a batch from a high cbg plant that is known for pain relief and as a sleep aid.
I would love to grow a high CBG or CBD plant so i can see if non psychoactive mmj can give me the same relief as THC bearing mmj.
You need to let me know how you get a single cannacap so strong. I eat 10 00 size of my current MH5 batch which was 1000g coco to 100g mixed whole plant stripped. It was taken way too early tho. Still i need 10 to get something out of it and im bumping it with smoking... lol i do get way more stoned from a j when im already stoned as fck from cannacaps..... lol

this plant is still about 21% thc but contains about 2.5% cbg. it has no cbd however yet has powerful pain killing effect. i want to grow a 50/50 thc/cbd plant also then mix the extract from them both and cap it for pain and sleep.
about the strength. i used 4 oz's of dark very waxy bho extract dissolved into about a gallon of everclear. put it in quart jars in the freezer for a week to winterize it. filtered out the wax with coffee filters losing an estimated 2 oz's of the original four based on what remained in the filters.
reduced the remaining liquid to about 2 oz's over several weeks by using quart jars with cheese cloth rubber banded onto the jars.
melted a quart of high grade first cold press coconut oil into a large sauce pan and slowly brought it up to 225f. poured about 16 oz's of that into the reduced concentrate jar and stirred until the concentrate dissolved. added that back into the pan with the other 16 oz's of oil. using a digital meat thermometer to monitor temperature brought it up to 275f maybe a little above. this took about 30 min with visible bubbles from de-carbing. reduced heat slowly over another 30 min back to 225f, again observing the bubbles and stirring with a whisk. at about an hour total the bubbling stopped indicating de-carbing was complete. let it cool slightly and loaded into 00 caps with an eyedropper.
kills pain but it's very speedy using these plants. sour d/gdp. i think for most people this is about twice as strong as they should take the first time or two until they get used to it.
an oz of bho concentrate per quart of coco oil should be about right for a good strong dose.
you could probably use 2 oz's of good dry sift to get the same potency. i've extracted from dry sift directly into coco oil and then filtered the oil to remove the trichome husks.
but i think maybe 2 oz's of sift into a quart mason jar with about 16 oz's of everclear leaving room for shaking would be better than going straight into the oil because it would filter easier. soak overnight, filter, then reduce the alcohol and add to the oil. decarb as usual.

Word. What size room? This is exactly what I'm thinking of doing in a 10'x10' room.
Same question to you. Also, what is your average yield per room?
That is the ideal size for that set up for lighting. I also have my lights set up in this pattern but with 600's.
All though my rooms are 9'x7'.6". I wish it could be bigger but play with what ya got.

5 to 6 pounds typically. Depends on strain characteristics, of course.
Let me put it you this way....for every penny I spend, I get ten pennies back. I can't find a more productive system or setup for the laws I operate under (and given that space limitation).

My PPKs are all on individual timers and pumps, so it is possible to support different cycle interval and durations in the same tent.
so for my next grow, I am wanting to try calcined clay in a couple of PPKs. I found a source here in Argentina - its all natural unscented, supposedly PH neutral, dust free kitty litter and it looks like calcined clay.
So, i want to ask what size should the particles be? is there a photo anywhere showing the size of the particles desired for using this. I believe it to be the same sort of clay used in turface
i can easily sift it to get the correct size if i knew what size is optimal. I cold see in the bag that the largest particles were about 5/16 inch long, and longer than they are wide. the smallest particle is about 1/2 of that.
]i like coco/perlite well enough but i designed my system for the heavy flood. i think thats right, the term flood - filling the medium container by pumping in more than can drain out . coco/perlite works ok for that but i would like to increase the draining action by going to a more porous medium.

Should be information in this thread about air filled porosity test. Your media size seems big to me but idk cant see it. Check my thread for pics of screened turface and a quarter for comparison.
That said i like a bit more afp than some for drainage protection. Means i keep 60% of a bag of turface and reject the small stuff when i screen. I dont grow much so only now going to top up this winter when i get a chance to go buy 2 bags.
D9 has posted alot on this subject a couple yrs ago
Thanks I will check your thread for the photos with the quarter ... it is just what I needed . The median size in the bag seemed to me to be ok , yes if it was all 5/16 inch long maybe it would need to be watered too often
I'm not going to do a porosity test, I am in coco perlite now . Calcined clay numbers will turn out better that's a given . That's all I am after , faster drain times. This product doesn't have any particles less than about 1/8 inch .is very clean and amazingly dust free .
