Happy birthday Ich! Your vertical style growing intriques me as not many people do it.....why is this your prefered method?

Was wondering were you were Dr P, cool

If Phylos turnaround on sexing is the same as the turnaround time on genotyping...I don't see much benefit from sending samples in.

Morning folks :tiphat:

Because I am limited on floor space. This allows me to grow more with a smaller foot print. It is also easier to maintain than a flat. By this I mean easier to get to the plant. I can take a plant out of this flower room or put one in anytime during the flower if I need to. I also dont have to bend over and reach in to adjust or trim a plant. I can stand there and do this with out bending over. Or I can sit on a bucket and work on the plant.

It takes more skill on the training and a better understanding of how the plant grows than a flat grow does. On the stuff I trimmed yesterday I didnt quite get it right. The Cherry Pie under yielded and the Cbanana was not pruned enough and had to much larf.

But this picture shows a 35 square foot canopy in a 35 foot square room. And I will be putting another 35 square foot canopy on the other side this week So 70 square foot of canopy in a 35 square foot room and I still have room to work on the plants. And if not I can just pull the plant out to work on it.

Oh yeah and the fact I can mix strains in my grow regardless of if the plant stretches more or less than the one next to it does.

Sorry I havnt been on here to see what you all have been up to. It was an action packed weekend.

My older son, who lives in Oregon, came knocking at the door two nights ago without warning. His transport was from an old Rastaforian, with a long beard, and massive long dreads, bottled up in a knit hat. That guy came in with the best vibes ever. Full on humble, filled with love for people and herb. His home is in the Virgin Islands. Ive never met anyone quite like this, He was the epitomy of cool. So down to earth. He absolutely loved my herb, and I overheard him calling other Rastas, in other countries to tell them about my bud. He was telling them about the high, and that is went way beyond what they had there. I melted with pride, and was humbled at the same time, if that's possible. He tried about 20 different crosses, and was visibly amazed. They dropped off my press, and I sent them back to Oregon with a giant bag of all kinds of buds. He blessed me several times. What an amazing person. Non violent, proponent of world peace, environmental cleandliness, love, and joy.

Wow! what a weekend!
I had so much fun.

Back to work tomorrow. I hope you all are healthy, happy, and had a great weekend!
Cheers!

Those tacks are 2 foot wide and 5 foot tall so you can judge size.

thats perfect height for you. You're 4'10 or was it 4'11, right?

those plants look like they need that treselle to be run across the ceiling too, for about a foot or two.

every time i start a seed grow & cross this bridge its the same thing... dealing with un sexed plants is a PITA both indoors & outdoors there's no easy way for a home guy like myself ...
didn't hammer say he can sniff out the males? something like that? thats a skill i need to acquire:blowbubbles:
lol, I only charge 5$ a plant :D

I overdosed a few plants with Mycorrhizal. I will get some pics and show what it looks like. Its the only thing I added that changed how they look.

Here is a fire mac. Serious saw tooth action going on with this pheno..

Here is my Myco drunk plant. This didn't have this pale look. New growth also look a bit weird. I think she got a bit overwhelmed. She should recover.

I always thought you could use too much salts and kill the bennys and mycos. Had no idea you could use to much mycos. Never tried though.

yes. high phosphorous especially. but the funny thing is today there is a bacteria marketed to feed on salt based or synthetic ferts.(other then "fixing bacteria") it is used in big agg to repair/amend improperly and over fertilized soil.

the short story is i actually bought some, but havent tried it.

That could be a way to recycle large amounts of used soil instead of tossing it.

totally. i added the link to the different products. They seem to know there shit. check the website out...

I stumbled onto there products when i saw some people using Advancing eco Agricultures micro an macro foliars on these MASSIVE outdoor plants.

my thought on that particular bacteria to was to combat the synthetic ferts with the biological. so many reasons why on paper it would work..
