I up potted many that I liked before knowing sex. I have tossed many that turned out to be dudes doing that. Most stay in 1g pots. I cant seem to keep plants healthy using 16oz cups for long.. As soon as there rooted well there up potted to 1g.



I don't think putting plants into early flower to show sex saves much time. Fastest way to know sex is to use a sex kit.

FLASHPOINT#11 looks similar to #3 which is the original keeper I couldn't root. #10 is also looking similar but she is still to young to know for sure. #10 stretches more than #11.

What you guys can do is flower an un rooted cut. Cuts will sex as the roots are developing and you can just trash the flowered cut and proceed on with the select plant.

the thought did occur to start cuts in the cloner at 12/12 ??? will they root AND indicate sex simultaneously ? I cant find a home plant sex indicator kit ...you have to send out tissue samples to labs i think

rescheduling my hip procedure till next week at least so that for when my son will be home from university for vacation & he can lend me a hand while i heal ... i really want to avoid up-potting & caring for unknown sexed plants ...it cost $ and time & personal energy to grow & i need to conserve all the resources i can and that includes space to work

No personal experience but have read of other folks doing this with success, take cuts and 12/12 right off the bat....if you can get enough snips it surely won’t hurt to give it a go. Curious to know the outcome if you do it

Home kits have been on the market for several years, it's about 1K for the basic set up and runs off a pc. Reagent cost keeps the price per test high but you eliminate shipping cannabis over state lines. $400 to run 56 sex tests, have to run eight at a time. Unit will run cbd tests as well as russet mites and pm, etc.

I highly doubt that's what SC is looking for. I wouldn't call that a home kit. I cant afford that. If you want to spend money you can make any test a home kit.

See I thought he wanted a kit where you mix your weed with chemicals at home and find out the sex right away, at home, without shipping samples from an illegal state to a legal one and then wait a long time to get the results.

The really funny thing to me is people bitching about seed prices who will pay $15 to find the seed's sex in a legal state where clones are easy to get for $15....

every time i start a seed grow & cross this bridge its the same thing... dealing with un sexed plants is a PITA both indoors & outdoors there's no easy way for a home guy like myself ...

Look I found my birthday present. Hammerhead CBanana scissor hash.



I got 2 of the 3 plants rough trimmed and hung to dry. Took 4 hours to do. The front rack is Cherry Pie on top and the very bottom is CBanana. The second rack is also CBananan. The plant in the back that needs to be taken down is Pre-98 Bubba Kush.

I will have to get it tomorrow night. I spent all day driving back form dropping off my daughter. Took 8 hours to get back. Then went and trimmed for 4 hours. After that I spent a hour cleaning and watering and mixing nutes.

Those tacks are 2 foot wide and 5 foot tall so you can judge size.

Sorry I havnt been on here to see what you all have been up to. It was an action packed weekend.


My older son, who lives in Oregon, came knocking at the door two nights ago without warning. His transport was from an old Rastaforian, with a long beard, and massive long dreads, bottled up in a knit hat. That guy came in with the best vibes ever. Full on humble, filled with love for people and herb. His home is in the Virgin Islands. Ive never met anyone quite like this, He was the epitomy of cool. So down to earth. He absolutely loved my herb, and I overheard him calling other Rastas, in other countries to tell them about my bud. He was telling them about the high, and that is went way beyond what they had there. I melted with pride, and was humbled at the same time, if that's possible. He tried about 20 different crosses, and was visibly amazed. They dropped off my press, and I sent them back to Oregon with a giant bag of all kinds of buds. He blessed me several times. What an amazing person. Non violent, proponent of world peace, environmental cleandliness, love, and joy.


Wow! what a weekend!
I had so much fun.
