Didnt the supreme court say it was unlawful for CA to set limits on the number of plants in prop 215 because it was a voter passed bill and the bill did not include plant limits therefore the amendment CA made to the bill was unconstitutional?

It sure seems like people are putting all their eggs into one basket why would you when its been proven time and time again that the government is not our friends and they will screw us over given the opportunity.

Got another basket? Provide the link, please. And in answer to the first part, 19 establishes minimums and only provides for the allowances to get more liberal.

Now people are "hoping" that prop 19 and abx6-9 pass together yet threres no guarantee that abx6-9 will pass and even if it does whats to stop someone from challenging it say the Feds it worked in our favor with plant limits and prop 215 and now the same laws may be our worst enemy because the opposition can use them against us. The feds sued Arizona and won whats to stop them from suing CA and do away with abx6-9? It sure seems like people are putting all their eggs into one basket why would you when its been proven time and time again that the government is not our friends and they will screw us over given the opportunity. Combine prop 19 with abx6-9 and you will get my vote but separated it seems as if a lot has to go right for things to turn out the way we hope they will and in my experience hope and luck dont accomplish anything.

It is really very easy bro-- ABX6-9 will be to 19, what SB420 was to 215--
The reason they had to throw out 420's plant limits, is because it Restricted 215-- A Legislative Bill can Amend a Voter Initiative, but it cannot Limit it--
Will they Pass ABX6-9?? No guarantees...but if not this one now...then another one soon--
That is why they write Voter Initiatives the way they do....because all the numbers on it are simply the least we can have...it can be Amended up by Voters, or Legislation...but not down--

I just want to say something about the notion floated by some that big business will swoop in and take over the "market".
I think it is total BS. First of all, no big corporation is going to challenge federal law and even try to get into this business until and unless it is legalized nationally.
Aside from that, I, personally, will never, ever, ever buy cannabis from a corporation, no matter the price or convenience. Not only for "political" reasons, but because I know that I and most of the people on this board can grow better weed than any corporation ever will. And if I can't grow my own, I will get it from a bud. Never from a company.
I've waited 40 years for this.
Don't have another 40.
Vote yes, please.

GREAT POST

Huh?? You can keep anything you grow...doesn't matter if it is 100 pounds--

yeah my bad on that one, the verbage is... lacking...

11310.1. (a) It is lawful and not a violation of California law
for a person 21 years of age or older to personally possess, process, share, or transport not more than 16 ounces of marijuana solely for the individual's consumption and not for resale. (b) Possession of more than 16 ounces of marijuana, except as authorized by paragraph (iii) of subdivision (a) of Section 11300 or another applicable law, is a violation of this article."

paragraph iii of subdiv. (a) states that you can keep the harvest on the premises it was grown.

so yeah you can keep your weight there, for personal use only and only on the land it was grown.

thanks for clarifying.

Or you can pay the fee...and do a commercial grow...and sell it too--

so whats your solution? not even try to pass anything because the feds MIGHT try to shut it down? im having a hard time understanding this train of thought. its like complaining that you will never win lottery but you never buy a ticket. you cant win if you dont try.....

No my solution is to come back with a well written bill that assures the best interests of the people. Sticking with analogies and baskets if you basket has holes in it do you go pick eggs or do you repair or replace the basket. Thats my stance the bill needs some repairs or to be replaced with a better bill. Abx6-9 seems to repair the bill well enough however were hoping abx6-9 will pass why not combine the two and come back with a better written bill that everyone can get on board with. Isnt there another marijuana bill scheduled for 2012 or something? I dont have time to look it up right now maybe later.

?

I know that if a cop is cross sworn, they can enforce federal laws. illegal federally=you can get busted by a local leo who is cross sworn.

I didn't know that. I believe you on this.

Though, if ABX6-9 passes, it specifically stops city, county, and state officers from working with the feds against California-legal cannabis users. I particularly liked this part.

Awesome! Hopefully they pass it soon. I believe a lot of people will be like you and change over to the Yes vote. Though, hopefully you can have a little faith and if it doesn't pass before 19, still vote YES anyway.

I have a good feeling ABX6-9 will pass before Nov2. While many people don't want Prop 19 to pass, our legislators should make sure that if it does pass that things start off on the right foot. I watched the two hour meeting our government had about it last week, its clear that they agree that our government took too long deciding what todo with Prop 215 (basically they buried their head in the sand and hoped it would go away). Everyone pretty much agreed that they need to put things in place in-case Prop 19 passes.

Nope. There is enough hot air going around about it to fill the Goodyear blimp, but nothing exists.

see this makes me believe that none of you actually want legalization. if ab6-9 cant change your mind NOTHING will. so basically its "hey i got a good thing going here, so fuck any sort of change". good to know what kind of people you are..... cops will throw any smoker under the prohibition train. and i guess growers and dealers will to. fuck everyone else as long as i gets mine.

:yeahthats

yeah? whos going to back it? whos really going to drop another 2+ million dollars after watching richard lee's money go right down the drain? and if someone does drop another 7 figures on the table to get it going, do you really think it will be written in a way that wont be in their favor? anyone whos willing to drop that kind of money is going to want to see some serious return for that money.

get real. 19 is not perfect. but nothing is. 19 is BETTER than what is currently in place for non215 smokers. and with a little work it could be the legalization we all envisioned. and if your waiting for a bill that has zero regulations and no tax you will be waiting forever. everything that is legal is regulated and taxed. why would marijuana sales and production be any diffferent???

great another prop 19 thread....
jerkit.gif
jerkit.gif

so if 19 passes, and then the amendment bill passes, you can legally carry a LB of weed on you? well thats good better than 215 limits...

also....cops can still search your car whether 19 passes or not, they want to establish exactly how much marijuana you have on you. same way with medical...even with my card the cop can still search and if i have more than the limitations...

and i think the owner of igrow is a douchebag...dude doesnnt care about medical marijuana at all...hes just a punjab businessman with a shitload of money from his rich parents trying to cash in on the latest money making venture. his warehouse SUCKS...everyone who has been there said its a pathetic excuse for a hydro store. hopefully his big warehouse will be the same pathetic shit...

wrong. I already posted it. CHP has a hands off policy for medical marijuana. why? because they are not the Medical marijuana control. The Judges of California are.

Need the lik again where our governer, and attrny general, and chp all signed this? look back a page or 3 and reread.

ive been in a couple traffiic stops where the officers smelled weed...they still searched the car regardless of the medical card. one time they were cool about it and once they found we only had a joint told us we were good to go. but another time it was park police and i guess they are federal so they tore the car apart and issued a citation for OZ possession....i dont see 19 giving us the get out of a search free card. if it does, thats awesome, if a cop pulls me over with a 20pack in the trunk and doesnt search the car even though he smells weed and lets me go...fuckin cool. CHP is really aggresive aginst marijuana if you dont have your card. one time we smoked in the car and we only got off because my friend had a card, she was about to toss the car but she only opened the trunk, saw all of the clothes and mess back there and closed it and let us go..

but come on REALLY? you are giving alot of slack to cops by assuming they will not search. i can see them saying..."yes i smell marijuana and it is legal under prop19, however i am required to search the car to make sure you are in compliance with legal limits and are not participating in trafficking."

Yeah, it has been shown several times...if you don't get it, you just don't get it--:tiphat:
where?? ive read every page on this thread and havent seen anything that officially "forbids an officer to search a car simply because he smells marijuana"

what about checking to make sure he is in compliance with richard lees limits?

if prop19 made possession of any amount of marijuana outside the house unlimited as well, then they cant search i guess.

but 19 specifically says that you are only allowed to have an 0z, so officers can still search to make sure you arent breaking the law.
