I just cut 2 chem 91 at 10 weeks
Truthfully I didn't see much difference from week 8 to 10
Maybe put a little weight on
I tried a few test buds from week 7 and was awesome tasting ,super strong

The plants certainly made more weight in those last weeks, it might not be visible to the naked eye but make the experience on time, harvest a bud at 8 weeks and compare her weight to a similar sized bud harvested at 10 weeks, the later harvested one should easily make 20% more weight or maybe more. We don't see them changing a lot but in the flowers they develop some mass who make a big difference on the final weight. I've already made the mistake of harvesting a plant who was looking ready who would be really disappointing on the balance compared to their size and possible weight at full potential.
And the trichomes also matured during those last weeks, that's another important thing to keep track of.

thanks ! at day 61 starting top see amber --- maybe it's a 65-70 day strain ? Chem D by CSI Getting ready for Chem 91 by them Chem D x 91 VA skunk

Experiment with longer runs, see where you like it.

I started at 68 days, i now try to not cut before 80. As @kro-magnon mentioned it gains a bit more weight but what i believe is she get's greasier.

I'm about to switch to Jacks, i'v read she likes the salts and it'll run cleaner in my res.

@Jay-Jay Genetics very nice plants. I crossed my 91 with Cap Junky and had some good feedback, my first 4 are in early flower now. Curious what my current top two will be like together.

sure same at the 95 x 91 cross, the male is dominant with his terbs but not with the longer flower, the short flower from the mother i95 is in that cross dominanter, so i got in cross with 95 x 91, terps and flavor, like a 91er but a shorter flower, the 95 x 91 cross is 7 - 10 days faster than the 91er

Get some more S1 headed your way this week. Did you see much intersex in your plants.. did i already ask you this?

You left plenty to reveg on that plant, good luck. Was she the standout or just last to finish?

Plants look great man, but 3.0 EC damn, I think I have never went that high. In the end, it is always about what the plants are saying, if they are happy go for it. I was growing GG4 without any cal/mag supplements and she was happy. The 91 though is different animal, you see those yellow spots on leafs on the first pic? Thats the start of it. You will see this developing fast in next few weeks.
Curious about the feedback from jungle boys. Btw, why removing the blue spectrum?
Sorry for late response, my leaf necrosis was/is being caused by root aphids. I let what I thought was a few fungus gnats be then started wondering why my tdrops weren’t working anymore. So, Athena rep didn’t go beyond that. Also, I get the vibe that they aren’t sharing that kind of strain specific info, at least with a little guy like me….he did offer to help diagnose problems with pics and where to send tissue samples for testing etc. but I don’t see the point until the next run with hopefully no root aphids. I’ve changed the IPM to include much more expensive root drenches weekly and have been doing every few days to get them through. Using first the dr zymes, venerate, botanigard, beneficial nematodes, and predatory mites. Seems to have knocked them back a good bit, there’s a whole lot less flyers but now I don’t know whether the crawlers I see are good or bad, I’m not an entomologist. In any case, thank you for your time, attention and patience!

ok, i know this is all a shot in the dark and a can o worms most everyone rolls their eyes at... and especially without testing;

but what about Super Silver Haze crossed with a Northern Lights of sorts for the origin of the chems/ diesels?

both SSH and NL can have serious levels of caryophyllene (the most important terp for the chems, imo), and i dunno... something about how they look and i've seen a few people speculate that it at least was NL. todd mccormick talks about how confident he and seattle greg are that NL #2 is the origin of chem, plus the lab results of their NL#1 and og kush almost seem like a lock n key fit (og kush is supposed to be related to chems somehow, right?)... others have said NL is for sure in chems, iirc.

i've seen multiple reports where SSH has been described as spicy, gassy, and skunky... and iirc, it was a nice balanced hybrid high with plenty of headiness (exactly how i'd describe most chems, although the 91 tends to have more body ime, so perhaps more NL influence).

i've ALWAYS thought the chems look like they have some kinda central/ south american influence with this little rounded leaflets poking out of the racemes, and haze is speculated to be heavy (or even fully) on the colombian. i've had some SERIOUS spaced out but chill head highs from central/ sa influenced buds AND from the chem dawgs (tres dawg, stardawg, sour d, etc) that put them up there with my most memorable smokes.

am i WAYYYYYY off here?

i'm not trying to break ground, just fun speculation.
