Some early buds from the Swazi cross, Mulanje and Zenith.
They are now sealed up to age until Christmas.

This was the driest of the 3 so curing much slower.

Next The Mulanje a little moister but still smokeable.

Then the zenith and a bud that fell off of it.

Merry Christmas! Hope it tastes as good as it looks! Cheers

I’m enjoying reading your thread. It’s giving me the itch to try and germinate a pack of seeds I’ve had for a while.

These seeds I actually won in a contest on here if I remember correctly in ‘09. A5 Haze x Mirakel Thai. I don’t know much about this strain. If I get them to pop I might consider running them under less amount of light possibly 11/13? I would like to have a good Sativa for personal use. I’ve been growing for a while but I’ve never experimented with anything other than 12/12 for flower.

I will be curing these without any sweating and will update the results as I inspect them after a few months aging.
The remaining Mulanje is getting very stinky and swollen and may be ready the end of this week also def by the end of next week ha ha.
The Panama /Mulanje has a long way to go and may be ready on my return at the end of September yeeha!
very nice plants tang and beautyfull cobs
When you say that you leave that cobs sealed for a few months to age , arent they actually kinda to wet ? thats how it looks from the photos, woudnt they rot if you leave them like that for months without openin them?. or your sayin that you leave the cobs sealed till you see the vacbagg loses and only after it losses and its not rigid anymore , you open/inspect it to air/dry it ?

Hi my friend I dont get any mold at all as I dry them when I inspect them monthly if they are too wet.
This batch actually came out fantastic and are my current go too for getting high as a kite.
I actually let nature take its course without any heat to start fermentation but its around 27c most of the time here anyway.
Chewing the cob releases the most amazing floral pine and incense taste the high lasts all day and is very energetic but more reserved great for thinking and solving problems.
The Mulanje is all go ho more sociable and lets party fearless type of high on its own. The Colombian cross added a more reserved problem solving element to it.

Interesting thread.

From Neville's haze Cica 1998 to A5 haze I've never tried anything less than 11/13. Usually that would only be the last 4 - 6 weeks of flowering.

Maybe I'll try this with some A5 haze X Vietnamese Black (f-2)
It works best on lanky sativa types that normally flower for ever on 12 hrs light.
I have some Malawi Gold growing right now on 12/12 from seed once they get 6 inches tall I will flip them to flower on 9/16.
I will post them on here along with some clones growing on the same time frame.

New project same old soil same old lights same old time frame ha ha.
These are Malawi Gold repro from @troutman
Super charged growth at about 4 weeks from seed under 9 hours lights on to save money on power.
I have sola panels so basically free power during the day for them.

And some clones I took off of my revegged Purple Mulanje x Aces Panama regular seeds mother.
One of the best stoned non sedative highs I've come across energy along with a dreamy trippy magic carpet ride love it.
I also have a clone of a plant I grew from seed from a cob of Sola's Colombian Gold x Demon Latcher that is a crazy euphoric Haze plant the mother is outside in the sun.

HELP!
These plants are maxing my box out ha ha.
Lucky the clones will just be colas on a stick and not need much room.
I reckon i may need to do some pruning if I find I cant bend them any more.

Tripping on some cob labelled Mulanje hermi. Which is why I never chuck them out. Real "somebody stop me!" gear ha ha Love it.
Its for those days when your brain is scattered and unable to focus ha ha.
As soon as it starts its like" Lets kick the shit out of those blues bro"
Best feel good medicine out there in my book. Its reformats my mind deletes anything deemed negative ha ha.

i understand your technique and that
sativas will autoflower when growing 9/15 from seed

but what about stretch. the longer the dark period the more cannabis plants stretch.
can i prevent this by using strong light? this has its downside because that means more heat
which leads to bigger night and day temperature difference. another factor contributing to stretch.

btw what wattage and area u got there

Stretch is strain dependent some stay short others not Malawi Gold is always stretchy as is Swazi in my experience. Its nearly over thank god ha ha.

The box is 1200 x 1200 I have about 1000mm of usable height because I use led panels.
When I used CMH in a cool tube they reduced usable height by 300mm.
I'm using Samsung led panels 2 x 240w panels.

Heat is never an issue for me they love it, the inside temps are between 32c and 39c during the day as its summer here but they can handle it higher as long as they have water.
The drippers keep them hydrated at all times no problem.

I may be wrong but the shorter days not only save me money on power but reduce the growing and flowering times I find on sativas that normally flower for 12 weeks plus it works for me anyway.
