Some early buds from the Swazi cross, Mulanje and Zenith.
They are now sealed up to age until Christmas.

img_3918-web.jpg

This was the driest of the 3 so curing much slower.

Next The Mulanje a little moister but still smokeable.

Then the zenith and a bud that fell off of it.

this is a gamechanger, well done Sir!

I'm super impressed by the speed and most of all, the manageable size.
had 10ft Thai plants in a 7ft tent before, don't ask me how?...
classic 6 month grow of course, and just now learning the way haha

Thank you my friend its the only way I can squeeze in a grow in between my fishing trips every 3 months.
The missus doesn't like me leaving the grow unattended for the 4 weeks we are away fishing.
But it seems to work out most of the time.
The Colombian crossed to Mulanje is getting there fast after checking it yesterday its looking really close to finishing no new pistils and the calyx are fattening up nicely.

Well the suspected CG/DL x Mulanje that now smells all Mulanje ha ha had a nice amount of buds once dried for 3 days.

I will be curing these without any sweating and will update the results as I inspect them after a few months aging.
The remaining Mulanje is getting very stinky and swollen and may be ready the end of this week also def by the end of next week ha ha.
The Panama /Mulanje has a long way to go and may be ready on my return at the end of September yeeha!

Nice sushi cobs lol. Quick question if you don't mind - how hard are you able to compress the buds using a sushi roller like that? Do you think it matters? When I cobbed my last Zamal Jamaica plants i used a pvc pipe and pressed them as hard as I could. Any thoughts on the difference in results, between pressing the buds as hard as you can, or leaving a little of "give"??

Def a difference in the cure between deeply compressed and lighter compression.
Mine will end up fully compressed though by the vacuum and the curing that occurs from now on.

I think the biggest contributor is the moisture content of the compressed buds though.
I left these in the sun (weak winter sun though) to dry the maize husks before sealing up to keep the moisture content on the lower side.
These days I prefer the drier bud cures as I want a terpy finish.
I will post updates monthly if I can to show the progress until I try them at Christmas.
