this morning I saw the first trichomes on the big plant ^^ -- soo stoked!

the afgooeys that i put outside (four seedlings in a 5inx20in rectangular pot) to hopefully cure the spidermite problem ARE THRIVING!!!

they have been suuuper stunted (ill shop pix soon), but they all have shown their sexes (ALLLLL GIRLS).......


& i just sprayed the afgooeys & my atomic haze clone with FLORAMITE.....hopefully i can get this problem under control....lucki8ly the only plants that have ever had the mite problem were the AFGOOEYS & the ATOMIC HAZE..

Hey mschwede, just finished a rubbermaid bin grow myself. I was pretty impressed by how much I got off 6 little clones and cfl's. Some problems I had were height, next time I do it I'm going to scrog 4 plants. I'm looking forward to watching this thread.

pictures from the other morning.


i went to my local shop (wai kula), and am testing their new mix. its a coco, pearlite, special mix - their coco and other ingredients are pre nuted with thier "Super Hume Seaweed" and several other products. the watering regimine is suuuper easy (and all i have to feed is their SHS)....

this mix was about a 1/4 of the overall medium weight of my prior mixes...

if all goes well with my first tester cubic foot (every cubic foot of media is 10$, ht is 12) i will switch my flowers over to their coco soil, its suuuuuper airy and has chunks of pre infused coco...


cant wait to see some improvements

1000w cmh? I didnt know those has been released yet. Thought 400 was the biggest they made that bulb. And will a mini be big enough for a 1k?

ya you might want a bigger tent than a mini if your gonna be running thousand in it

i looked into both the mini and the original (~3.5x3.5 and 2.3x4.7, respectively), and not only does the '2x4' have more internal room mathematically

i dont think that it would be that productive for me to stuff that much heat into suck a small space...

thanks for the input guys, looks like im just gonn ahave a heat battle on my hands now.

i picked up the 2x4 last evening and put it up in under 20min...but i didn't get the a 'HydroHut' i bought the HydroFarm equivalent '42' model tent. so slowly I will be moving all my flowers to the tent & converting my "bud" box back to its "veg" roots

&yesterday picked up a 25 botanicare aerocloner that a buddy and i went in on, so i cant wait for cuts



this morning i went to westmarine:

¤50ft of 1/8" dacron to hang shit from & rig a raising/lowering pulley/block&tackle setup (utilizing what little i know about mechanical advantage...:/)

¤240lb test "tooth proof" stainless steel leader wire to create strong hangers for my pulley system & proper backups so i dont fucking drop a light

¤2 ronstan sheaves (mini.....think like .4" pulleys that can haul over 330lbs!!!)
