nice little rubbermaid setup man. they're a great way to start, in fact i've got one going myself.

correct me if i'm wrong, but its only been 18-19 days from seed and you're flowering? you may find it more rewarding to veg for a bit longer. these setups work great for SCRoG. i'm not saying you're wrong for flipping the lights already, i just think you'd get a better yield from a bit more vegging.

either way you go, best of luck on you grow. i'll definitely pull up a chair and tag this one heh

This was seriously the best money I have ever spent!!!...
Its all bag seed so I'm not immensely worried about turnout (since its my first attempt anyways), but what would you suggest as a turning point?

& Feel free to pull that chair up closer and critique or whatever, I really just need input from all angles.

Happy New Year all, HOPE EVERYONE had a most excellent holiday and was able to do what they wanted when they wanted to:joint:


Ive been extra busy over the break getting in sync with my babies here, and have come up a bit in the world since last post...




*I built another rubber maid box, this one is only 20" tall, but is solely for VEG and maybe breeding/stressing down the line... It has three installed 4" case fans (two in, one out), two standard sockets with 100W 6500k CFLs, both crakin' out something like 3k lumen each.


*Got a hold of some clones from a friend, & just transplanted my selection, watered 'em and put them in the *NEW* veg tank to thrive... THESE *NEW* clones are: Atomic Haze, Chemdawg D Mysto, and Ice Cream... (I was supposed to also get some SFV Kush, but the clones hadn't rooted appropriately for transport (so thats a little down the road).


*CAME UP on some Afgooey seedling from the same buddy, he was fed up with five of his nine (or eight i actually think...) sprouts... So instead of trash, they were one mans treasure, so I adopted five sickly seedlings and will try to nurse them to CFL strength and sex 'em asap for some Afgooey pleasure (and maybe breeding later... hmmmm o_O)


****This is by far the bets news tho, I got my Recc and am compliant with all regulations :)

Plants all looking good you vegged for about 2 1/2 weeks correct?
Also what nutes will you be using mate?

the longer you veg, the more budsites you get. i went 31 days from seed and i think i flipped just a little early. preflowers and alternating nodes are good ways to tell if a plant is sexually mature. while you can veg for months and even years, most people like to switch about the time the plants mature or when they've reached the size you like. just remember most strains stretch pretty well for a week or two when you flip the lights.

but most important is the fact that you're learning. every grow you do will teach you more about the plant, and before you know it, you'll have the whole grow process dialed in. best of luck :joint:

plants are looking nice :0) I'm getting ready to built my rubbermaid in a week or two. Just a forwarning, sativa's stretch a lot. and by the looks of those pics, you have some straight up SATIVA plants! Expect a stretching of x3 their size when put into flower! I had a sativa hybrid (far less sativa looking than yours, wwaayy less) and it stretched from 8" to 25.6"! Thing was a beast! Unfortunately, I harvested her a wee bit early. Oh well, the weed was whack anyways. Hardly any trichs

(edit) btw, it's not good to use clear cups. Although it's a lot of fun to sit and look at the root growth on your plants, the roots HATE light!! And I mean HATE it! You should get some alternate containers for them :0) just my 2 cents

2/12 weeks is correct, like 23-ish days veg for the bigginz, and for nutes i alternate with:
FOR VEG/GROW- Grow Big, Superthrive, Seeweed extract
FOR FLOWER- Guano/Molasses Tea, Seeweed extract

My gifted afgooeys are chillin in the elements cause an old issue of spider mites has struck back with a vengeance, so as to keep a semi-sterile enviro theyr outty....Depending on how they do for a week or so Ill reevaluate thennn

along with the 1 big female bagseed (who is lookin waaaayyy dank), the topped plant just showed me her girl parts.... SO IVE GOT TWO FEMS workin now----

im stoaked over my first attempt, 2/3 BAG.$EED turned out to be keepers!!!

im about 25ish days into flower now...picked up BUSHMASTER & SHOOTING POWDER to finnish em off later in bloom..

hey im pretty sure you wanna use bushmaster only when you first induce them into flowering... Only for like a couple days before you start flowering, and a couple days into it...
The stuff is STRONG... so be careful...
Also, looks like you got some photography skills! cant wait to see some pics you come up with when things start packin on the resin
