Jack you are the God Father of Growing ! I watched your grow over here & decided to make the move to Heavy 16 & Aptus, Man shit is blowing up in your rooms. Have you messed around with the BioWaves at all, I’m trying out the mini but a lot of people seem to think they are snake oil.

great show jack, between this thread and a couple of others i think im switching over to coco, always been a hydro bucket guy...i know you've run hydro setups, what was the most challenging part of switching mediums for u? ive never even done soil so its a little intimidating to switch, im in the midst of building out a 12k room that doesnt really have an accessible drain...i could dtw but it would be a pain in the ass,is recirculating coco nutes a problem?i guess im asking what would be your advice to a new coco grower? whats your take on thoses OG hoods,they look dope,saw em at my local shop... thanks in advance

I would like to try Coco also, but can you buy it in large compressed bails like the Pro-Mix, How do you mix the stuff up ?

They come in 2 cu ft bags.
But I got 50 on a pallet and it's the same size of a pallet of promix (30, 4 cu ft bags) so it's almost as compact.

I switched to coco and got over 14 inch tall plants in 14 days. I'm so late to the coco party but so happy I arrived.

I think you will love the Gavitas. I have 23 Open hood's and 1 Gavita in one room. Needless to say, the Gavita it proving itself to grow a good bit denser flowers as well and longer budsites. The standard HPS lights are growing donkers as well, just more squat compact flowers. Can't wait to see ya rip em up.

hey jack i noticed fungus knats within a day of mixing beds. Do you think a full strength feed of og bio tea will knock em out, as well as be benificial as an initial bio innoculant? also i saw that phillips has there own line of lights/ballasts that just came out to compliment there bulbs which are the ones in gavitas, they have a funkyreflector on them that is small but they say is the most efficient. i saw them at a garden trade show and they cost the same as gavitas.

Couple q's if you don't mind...you may have answered in later pages, how do you keep your room cool?
Have you used Canna's base with Aptus? I'm currently using Coca A&B, though I may go back to Aqua if i got back to drippers, but prob not since i believe I'll be doing RTW.
