aptus

aptus

Been following for awhile. just finishing a 12 light run of aptus in sunshine 4. looking great and will post more pics later. the health of the plants is outstanding. If you dont have a regiment you have dialed in this is def the way to go. I have been using advanced for awhile and would have to say these look better, waiting on final weight to be sure but i think it out did rest for sure. stalks are massive and were more resistant to bugs and mildew because of health. and i only swithched to aptus in flower.

I am doing side by side now and my aptus in coco is doing worse than sunshine. what brand of coco do u use? and what ph in coco. sorry if i missed somewhere. long thread

I also dont veg and flower in same room. i get 5.75 harvests a year out of each room. do you not have room to do this? or do you like the canopy and ease of veg and flower in same room?

thanks much repect and if you ever want to trade any strains let me know, even though you seem to have it covered!!:thank you:

what made you think to try the physan to preserve clones Jack? Obviously it works I ask because it's just something that never crossed my mind to try.

As for eagle 20 or physan? Considering physan is a fungicide it actually can be used with good results for powdery mildew. It does break down within a few days but as far as i know it isn't intended for edible crops.

According to physan, sprayed foliage contains no residue when dried and smoked! Sounds goofy to me.

43 looks awesome man...i love her swell.
Ya Doing a Run with half White Fire#3 and Half White Fire#43 I have a White Fire #80 that is so bomb giving her a second run but she's special.
looking good as always.
14 day veg from when you take them out of cloners? Once the rooted clones are placed in the beds they are vegged for 7 days topped then another 7 then flipped so 14 days total from rooted cutting. Veg is a waist of time and money its alot easier to run more plants If possible..

Im in Beds and only veg for 14 days at the most so vegging in a seperate room is not really ideal for this set up.Your COCO question is on the first page. But I will answer it either CANA COCO or Gold Label COCO.
Really feeling those least two you posted. Man they look so good make you wanna slap yo grandmama.
Ya Buddy..
Wifi43 for the win. Nice work mang.

always a pleasure to see your grows.

do you have your MH's on rails? how long are they?
We only have 1 -600 w on a light rail once the cuttings are rooted we place them under a 600 watter with CO2 at 1000 ppm for a day or two to get them ready to be put in the COCO room where they are slammed with 20 plus 1000 watts of HPS and CO2 at 1000 ppm.. This helps them take off and we do not have to worry about shocking them.

Here is White Fire #80 she is giving the #43 a run for her money. Not as big of yielder but straight OG lemon funk. There is no White in her like 99% of the other White Fire phenos we have found.

I think they're called tray liners. I'm thinking of switching from 40 5.25 inch pots to those tray liners. God forbid if anything were to happen but the popos would prob think it's just one big plant. They prob wouldn't know there's a bunch in one big pot.....or so that's my theory, but hey we all gotta sleep at night!

Jack: What I'm wondering is what your drip manifolds look like? Mine come into the tray and do a 90 degree bend to run right on top of the tray. I put my pots in the trays and just pop the drippers in. If I were to use the tray liners Im Sure I could modify it somewhat to work but figured you had already figured out the best way to do it. If I don't modify The manifold it won't work because the tray liner would sit right on Top of my manfold and the drippers. Any suggestions?

Yup 4x4 smart pot tray liners.

And go for it Norcal- best switch i made in coco. Plants love the horizontal root growth, better yields for sure vs pots iMO.

Geo Planters

Geo Planters

We used to use the 4x4 smart pot liners until we found these from Geo planter.
http://shop.geoplanter.com/96L-x-48W-x-10D-GeoPlanter-GEO170GAL.htm
It is a 4x8 tray liner and we put them directly into a 4x8 botanicare tray. Trellis and pvc fittings comes with and the pvc that supports it goes into pre-sewn sleeves in the tray so it holds itself up. The fabric is thicker and more durable than the smart pot liners as well. We thought the smart pot liners started to get flimsy and a bit thin after a couple uses. We hand water so the higher sides help keep the dirt and water in when watering and its also a bit cleaner when we change out media and pull roots out.
They make custom sizes too, we had some old wood tables made to fit a room where standard trays wouldn't fit and they custom made them to fit for roughly the same price.

Im sure your hydro store would tell you to use it every day we go through about 4 to 5 k in nutes for every 120 lights. And we water every day. The cost thing has already been beaten to death and gone over 100 times. We only use Aptus 1 to 2 times a week the rest just base or Tea.

This thread has been a great read. I quoted this post because I think it sums things up nicely. This site has some of the cheapest sob's in the world. I was reading a thread about H&G drip clean. Several comments about what a ripoff it is, how its just padding H&G's pockets.
Made for suckers.
At the same time my 3k grow requires $4-$6 worth of the stuff per harvest. Less than 10 cents a day. Yet this will outrage them so much, they will rant on about the company....and anyone that does use it, is either a moron wasting their money, or of course works for the company.

Aptus website doesn't get too specific about application rates, but their calculator indicates daily use. Now you are recommending only once or twice a week. But still accused of having some evil motivations for sharing your results with us.

If I go for twice a week application for my setup, would be about $200 for the aptus line, less about $100 of H&G nutes I am using now with their base. An extra $100 for a 3k grow. How will I survive?
