more proof that aptus works. this is stacking on a 9 to 10 week strain at 3 weeks from ONLY ONE FEEDING of aptus. this is about an 8 inch cola so far. usually the top nugs of this strain (lime-warp) are about half that.

True you would crush it in Coco, Why did you stop using it? 25 to 30 per 1 k and a 14 day veg you would hit 2 per k no problem. and get 5 harvest a year. I still have 2 soil rooms and I never come close to the coco rooms and the quality of the COCO meds is insane..JACK

I gotta say man, I started out in super soil years ago. Worked my way into coco, started smashing hard in coco. Then worked to beds after OBs put it out there, then worked my way to full organic in coco and still smashing yields but felt something just wasn't the same as when i was in soil. After a few run back in soil, i'm matching the same yields and the full expression of some of these plants has really come out. I don't think i really had a bad run in coco, yields were great, but if i cant match that in soil and get a bit more terpene expression and cannabinoid profile i'll stick with it. I mean, certain plants ive run every run for a year or more and they are defnitely shining first couple of runs back in soil vs. dialed in coco.

But i will say- coco beds were easy as fuck and consistent. Bout to start soil beds with a light super soil and just water and recycle soil...so might be even easier. lol.

Right on I thought you might have been a Howard fan, I wish I would have seen them when they came to Vegas, just want to make sure JD is there when I do go. If you don't mind me asking how many would you run per 4x4 of the white fire #43, and how many of the mcfly. Thanks man.
25 to 30 of those two with a 14 day veg...

Cool Bro :tiphat:I find some strains do better in soil then others but find that most strains do great in COCO. But I have not tried super soil. Im still using Roots Organic soil and a couple bags of Verma Fire mixed in. The nice thing about my coco beds are I can reuse them so many times and usally only have to add about 10 bags for every 20 lights every run..In 2 rooms where on our 9 th run with the same coco. Gets better every time..

165 minutes. 9,900 seconds. That is what it took me to read this thread. I am not a speed reader and some things I wanted to read twice. I have lurked these threads for a long time but your grow spoke to me. Jack your grow is amazing. After rolling across this thread last night I was convinced to join ICMAG just to see your pics and this grow. I signed up, by the time Im done reading Im already approved to post. I came from the farm and was very impressed by Jacks work there.

Jack, thank you. No, THANK YOU! Your work speaks for itself. In a world of knockoffs you are the breath of fresh air. Cut the hype, cut the bs, here is how I grow huge buds and you can too.

You know how you know when your on top? When there are haters everywhere. When your the best everyone either wants a piece or wants to knock you down a peg. Even if your giving away healthcare, people will still paint Hitler mustaches on you. I salute you for not only enduring the bs but sharing your knowledge with us. Most people in your position would not be so honest, so I commend you on that. That and your plants. Killing it is an understatement. This isnt about stroking your ego, this is about saying damn that is a lot of work you have done. Enjoy the "fruits" of your labor.

I thought I was doing good.... I live in Norcal... using coco...been doing this a few years... your shit puts me to shame. On one hand I feel depressed, that Ive wasted years of my life. Literally, makes me want to throw it all away and go get a second job to go with my first one. On the other hand it is inspiring to see what can be accomplished with hard work, lots of experimentation, and dedication to genetics. This makes me want to just go and redo my entire room.

You said this is a common thing with NorCal growers. Well put me on that list. Wish I would have posted a year ago when I first saw you on the farm. Thank you.

So, now for my question if you have the time.

Would this be your preferred setup if you were starting new knowing what you know now? You can keep it simple and answer yes or no. I tried to glean all the info I could from your thread. Was also doing this so that I would not only get a thumbs up on my remodel but as a road sign to others that read this thread.

4x8 ebb and flow tray watered with drippers from a drain to waste system
4x4 smart pot tray liners filled with straight coco two per tray
watered twice per day for 30 seconds each watering
x2 Adjust a wing 1000 watt hps hortilux lights per tray
16 plants per light 32 per tray grown to 12" then flipped with 24 hours of darkness
x32 drippers per tray
Aptus and heavy 16
Caps Bennies 3 pack
Scrogged out with a one tiered (or is it two tiered) canopy screen growth completely cut out from below first screen. Trained during veg into first screen then trained into a second one during first 3 weeks of flip?

Thank you for whatever response you give. :)

I LIED! Ive got two questions. My glass sucks in my air cooled hood it is pitted. I had to order it twice from hydrofarm and they still sent me crap. Should I just take it out and shut off my air cooled hood exhaust (dont want to suck out co2?) Ive got 2 raptors and 2 magnums. Or should I just craigslist them and buy some new large adjust a wings? Ive got a mini split so ac shouldnt be a problem.

Thank you for your time. It is a pleasure to learn from people like you.

This i can definitely attest to, especially after goin full organic in the coco. I was on run 5-6 with same coco and results just kept improving. I've definitely already found some strains that prefer coco, thats for sure, at least yield/numbers wise. Smoke still seems a bit better in soil though, but just not quite matching the coco #'s.

Bout to recycle/amend first round of soil and give the beds a go with soil. see if i can get to same re-use i was at in coco.

hello jack i have read the entire thread very impressive very inspire
i very appreciate u sharing this knowledge and i wanna say thank you :)

i do have few questions if u don't mind :

* what is the dosage per gallon of water when u water just canna base nuts ? and the day u combine canna base and aptus ? how much ppm its yield ? what is the caps tea ph level and ppm right before u apply it to your plants ( i know u don't ph it ) ?

* in the last pics the plants not looked waving in the trellis did u stop scroging ?

* i know u have sealed rooms during lights on... do u exhaust during lights off ?

thank you
dror.

Yes on the COCO drain to waist . Plants are 20 to 30 per 4x4 or 1 k depends on strains.I would ditch air cooled hoods and do a big ac with Adjusto wings or diitch the glass and the exhaust fans CO2 is a must I use only 1 trellis veg for 14 days then flip first 3 weeks plants are weaved through trellis.. ...JACK

There is no set dosage depends on time of flower or how much the strain can take as far as ppm, I have never checked the PH of the Tea never had any PH issues. And all plants are weaved not sure what pic your seeing..No exhaust we use commercial Dehumidafiers..
