To respond to your statement, I am no expert in the process but I believe the child is questioned thoroughly and I also think the whole issue was blown up much - much bigger than it is for political gain. Yes, there has been an ongoing absence of accuracy in definitions or accurate terms in re. to those who seem uptight about issues that are so minor in frequency, but those suffering this particular indignation are seemingly wound tight like a spring but have no demonstrated clue what the reality of the situation is, or even the definitions related to the discussion.

In the case of intersex, especially not discovered at birth the youngster should absolutely be able to demand surgical/pharmaceutical intervention. (e.g. presents and feels male but internally has full or partial ovaries or sex glands which can cause breast development at puberty, etc. Should the kid be forced to grow breasts and get treated like a freak by peers?) -1.7% of the population.

In a case like that, I would agree. But that is not what people are upset about and that’s not what the trans movement is about

I disagree with that. Let’s just be realistic here. We shouldn’t be making laws that force majorities to accept an ideology that is of a small minority. Especially when it goes against one’s religious beliefs.
We’re entering dangerous territory here when we allow law makers to force people in to accepting things that violate our individual freedoms.
I believe we all should have the freedom to do as we want with our lives. But when your decisions force me to go against my religious freedoms and the freedoms of my family, that’s where the line is drawn for me. I believe I speak for the overwhelming majority of American families when I say that

Parents should be able to decide they want their 8 year old son to keep his dick and balls. If we’re gonna be telling people sex and gender are different, he can keep his dick and still be free to be who he is. Maybe he can make that decision when he’s an adult

I did not say anyone was being forced. These surgeries are happening though and there are people advocating for minors to have the right to choose these treatments without parental consent. The idea of taking parental rights to let minors have these surgeries is absurd. Its nothing short of child abuse

I think you completely misunderstand. I was only separating definitions. One; conversion therapy is well defined as religious based programming to change one's sexual orientation. It has involved kidnappings and family condoned handing over of children. It is mostly christian (mother fuckers) based.
two; transition therapy is when a child/human somehow expresses or is physically identified as being gender compromised and then goes through a medical/psychological evaluation and then...?

I offer no judgement on the latter because I know too little.
