Some folks on here need to pull that wild hair out of their ass and stop getting offended by strangers
Every member on this forum makes this place a hilarious experience
Some folks need to learn some manners and reality testing. And if they're 40 years old or older and can't figure that out, then maybe returning home to Mommy and Daddy to learn what they failed to take in earlier is likely a good idea.

This isn't day care.

Based on some of your previous comments, I'd figured you for a FOX News guy. Maybe help them to recoup that nearly $800 million settlement for spreading lies and being notably proud of it.

Or perhaps Rudy G. needs a valet, though he's about to forfeit his Loren Becall automobile to the election-worker women he slandered in Georgia.
:D Guliani valet hell yes hilarious. No not a faux news fan but thats just CNN too

And dont fool yourself chief. These threads are one big daycare center for malcontents

Right now, there's nothing but capitulation in the US government, despite the public turning against Israel, bowing to a war criminal who ought to have been killed months/years ago, who's now been formally cited as being a war criminal by the ICJ and has been alienating the majority of the 'thinking world.' But those countries don't have Secret Site 512 or other MIC footholds they value so greatly to worry about as vantage points into other sovereign nations' doings. So, there's that carrot on the end of the stick.

And we know what Eisenhower and others said in warning about the MIC.
I agree with your points. This history has been going on a long time. Any step in the right direction could be good. Maybe Harris will bend that way.

Projection will get you nowhere.

But if you're concerned, and I mean REALLY concerned, I'm not a CNN guy, nor a Dem.

And no, this is not day care, or a drop-in center for the mentally ill.

Or maybe there's something you'd like to share with us, Rob?

If you would, take in the interview I posted with the former (18-year veteran) State Dept person, and note that Harris outright refused to criticize anything Biden had done in re. to Gaza and has stated outright that the military aid to Israel will continue.

I think the ONLY source of optimism for some who tout her as 'the answer' (and I'm not including you, as you're not a voter here that I know of) is partisan gullibility, and the many who seemingly suffer political amnesia in the US every 4 years.

There ought to be a safe, effective drug to awaken people to just how gullible they are. Imagine how much better off the world (and especially the US) would be.

I could be a voter but have put that off as too complex. Harris is certainly pro-Israeli but has hints of being anti-what the fuck is happening. Trump would give no quarter - one step atta time

In sifting this whole shitteree out, I look back on Obama with his Nobel Peace Prize, turning GW's 4 international military conflicts into 7, including vaporizing grandmas in Pakistan with illegal CIA-operated drone-fired missiles as they picked eggplant for dinner in their garden in front of their grandchildren, and remember that the cover of a book sometimes betrays the contents.

anyone crying in their beer as though they have no idea why it occurred
i was surprised that it took as long as it did, just as i was NOT surprised by the Murrah building bombing. i AM convinced that our nation has not seen the last of that kind of retribution for past sins. it's a small world, and getting smaller all of the time. we watched the towers collapse at work that morning, and i told my co-workers that it was long overdue payback. "revenge is a dish best served cold..."

so does that mean one step does not count or does it mean it is all bullshit?

I remember the planes hitting the towers and the bush planes being grounded by the FAA, despite hunters in the bush for moose season, but for one asshole pilot I personally knew with a huge ego who took up a writer from American Rifleman when NO ONE was supposed to be in the air (A JOURNALIST FOR FUCKS SAKE!!) and told him not to put his name or plane in the article.

Yah, Otay....

FAA had a stern meeting with him a bit later on...

He was the asshole I'd known for several decades who was a COVID-denier, who died from COID on the floor above mine the day they discharged me from the hospital when I nearly died from the massive infections and other injuries gifted to me by the 'good Doctor' in Seattle.

Yeah, he told a journalist not to write about his specific plane and pilot, who took him up when the entirety of the USA was grounded, but for the special allowances for the Saudis, who were somewhat IN on the whole fucking ordeal!! Or, at least one or more of the Royal family were.

I recall being awestruck, and specifically watching the people jumping off of the top floors of very tall buildings rather than burning to death, and what that imagery did for my history of suicides in my family, and the awareness of where the global chess players' bullshit had brought us to. And I was angry at the resulting images from their opportunistic bullshit, and incredibly sad for the deaths, but especially watching those who jumped, and the firemen and other volunteers and first responders who went into collapsing buildings selflessly, all brought to us by people who seemingly know no fucking boundaries... blinded by Deneros and giant white imaginary cowboy hats.

Fucking greed and not knowing one's own boundaries. as though the entire world is our personal oyster. I hated them that day like no other day.

And it's still a very moving memory, those images. But no, I was not solely angry at the hijackers, as I was already aware of the lengthy history leading up to that day, from the military bases built in the Holy Land in Saudi Arabia, to a hundred other braindead, boundary-challenged, ego-driven, nationalist faux pas.

Poking hornets' nests, no matter their size, is rarely a good idea. And doing so for greed and nationalist or corporatist domination is simply stupid.

One step counts, if it's sincere.

Sincerity in our political world is and has been the big question.

Politicians in the US, especially when campaigning for national offices and sometimes state positions too, present their positions as a result of having paid speech writers puke out the best options for addressing hot-button issues as defined by their poll watchers and handlers, often times regardless of how sincere or heartfelt those positions are, and the possibility of having -any- candidate in a higher office contest be something more than a stuffed shirt answering to national party org(s), special interests, and corporatist handlers is extremely rare.

A very sad but real state of affairs in US national politics. We might as well be voting for Ken and Barbie.

So what can we do to avoid that end?

Call for more death?

Maybe that's why grandma got vaporized.

Like begets like....

It seems like a vast portion of humanity refuse to realize that.
Grandma got vaporized because (as Jermey Scahill reported long ago, were some paying attention to their government's operations as civic duty would require) the CIA gave out cell phones to various folks in the tribal outlands telling them that if there were Taliban collaborators in their midst, to simply leave the cell phone turned on and left on the property of that 'collaborator', and just as more or less occurred in Vietnam with Operation Phoenix where anyone pointing to a local and saying they were a collaborator was sufficient grounds for an immediate bullet to the head, phones were dropped on the properties of those engaged in long-term family blood feuds and they let the CIA (Obama sponsored and approved) drones take out their foes for them.

But your presumptuous contriteness still sucks ass, and you rarely are as informed or as informative as you pretend. Still...

Yup... someone decided that death was a solution.

More capitulation and compliance with war criminals, over which all kinds of people did some bizarre heroism dance as they slaughtered over 1,000,000 Iraqis based on fabrications by a Prez who should've been executed at Leavenworth by lethal injection for treason and serial mass murder for that stunt and more.

I know people who were in Fallujah (independent press) and the Marines' mass slaughter there. Nothing patriotic about it. Nothing.

Gullibility and murder, wrapped in a flag they defiled, brought to you by those amazing 'liberators'.

Nobody capitulated anything. In field testing of weapons systems. That's why nobody has anything as advanced as the United States of America.

You don't seem to understand that we need to stay involved in conflicts so we can test our weaponry to ensure it's the best. Nobody come close to the US Military for a reason. Our shit is tested and proven.
