People who believe Iran is the terrorist home base or whatever needs their brains examined
As far as anti us terrorism Afghanistan is probably the hot spot right now. There are thousands of trained fighters we abandoned over there. Pretty easy to get them to go after the people that left them for dead.

The question might better be asked as to how these places hate the US? I doubt it's because of 'our freedoms'. Liberties, maybe. Like the liberty we take in violating others' boundaries. Those liberties, perhaps.

There are parts of the world where everyone knows someone killed by Americans.

one of this countries greatest self-delusions is that everyone wants to be like us, and will embrace us if we "free them" from their primitive way of life...
Another common delusion is that our foreign escapades are a result of our concern for those foreign populations, as opposed to opportunism for corporations the US sees as deserving of extra access, and strategic military footholds to appease the State Dept's boundary challenged wish lists.. The often more real reasoning behind our 'liberating' of other nations from their alleged oppression, as we install new oppressors, often worse than those we helped to remove, with those we remove sometimes having been democratically elected.

like Mossadeq in 1953? a relevant example we still have yet to live down, if ever. :shucks:
Or like Allende', which we did a bit more quietly, incorporating the help of his opposition in Chile, and replacing him with Pinochet, who was a real sweetheart of a totalitarian barbaric dickhead.

"Winning the hearts and minds..." and storing them in Ball jars...
