It was Buriram and a few other Isaan provinces that tolerated growing early, but I don't know the names of villages that still don't allow it. It was something I heard anecdotal, most likely in the south.I don't understand how a village can ban a plant/flower/product that currently is legal by law?
Do you mind sharing the names of the villages you mention?
Thai residents need a license to grow, but the flower itself is not illegal unless found on a person less than 20yo - or pregnant women.
Important to look in the rear view mirror as we go forward, to see how things once were. We are like minded ppl here, so it's easy to agree, but need to keep things in perspective. In many countries the locals are very sensitive about foreigners making money, Thailand is no exception.- After reading up on this thread - seems like there is much to take into consideration before deciding on going ahead with a 4/20 cup in Thailand - not least the potential outcome of this coming election - and how it might effect the legality of staging such an event here in Thailand - I wouldn't want to do it - if it risked seeing the inside of a jail cell again - and as for putting a 4/20 on in the USA - that might be difficult with my record - although the feds did finally drop the charges againt me for international seed dealing back in 2018 - after they failed to extradite me from the UK - after having me detained in the Philippines for 2 and a half years - in the Camp Bagong Diwa detention jail in Manila -
Yes - I agree - and that was partly the idea for putting up this thread - to feel out the differing opinions around potentially staging such an event in Thailand - since quite a few of our members live here and visit quite regularly -Important to look in the rear view mirror as we go forward, to see how things once were. I wonder what you carry in this blue sacks . hahah
Try Alicante Spain .Looks real nice there. Can't say I'm not a little jealous. I can only automate for a week though, so hopefully an EU destination can be found. Somewhere accessible, that people might want to visit for other reasons.
Good part of Spain, with it's own airport. They don't list destinations though. They give 10 ways of getting there, but non are flying. My reservation probably needs the complaints departmentTry Alicante Spain .
Has this great social club with sea view called Oasis.
Great place great people, great food cheap and if you visit off season is even better .
