I put up some more trellising today spread the girls out even wider. Staying VERY short which is great besides the biggest one im not gna be able to stop that one from passing the fence.
I found a new way to spread diamaticious earth.......
Pore a couple cups ina pile under the plant and take a leaf blower to the pile real quick. It clouds from underneath and hits all the bottom of the leafs it worked perfectly.the de goes everywher tho lol
I made a square with 2x4s all 7 to 8 ft long. U can use that for size comparison..Then went over the top of the cage and stapled the trellis to the 2x4. I got all wood for free from craiglist .and 40 bucks in trellis net. Good cheap way to tie and support the plants up or down

Wear a mask .that stuff isnt good to breath....and it will go everywhere.....its will be like a de dust storm which is good it hits all surrounding pla ts and trees aswell..i love Craigslist. The free secton is amazing. I built a 7 ft x34 ft redwood deck from craiglist got all the wood for free. Build an 8 ft x 16 ft adition on my mobile home with free wood also. ..
when i put my cages around my plants i use two stakes and leave an opening on one side in case i need to get in more then just reaching through the six inch squares. Normally put cages on early stretch and then add a layer of netting to get us through to harvest ..

Thats a good idea. Thats y i just added some tresllis flower time is abiut to commence lol.
How long do u guys leave diamaticious earth on your plants?
Also fou d it way more effective to put the de into a deep cup or old coffee bin and hold it in front of the blower it pulls perfect amount from the venturi affect of the air blowing over the cup way more control spraying or clouding the plants

That’s a great idea with the leaf blower and DE... I’ve never done that but have had great success with predatory mites... arbico organics if I remember correctly. If interested, call them up and they’ll get you the right ones for your climate. Start with one jar and evenly distribute between the plants. See how it goes.

Thanks man.Ill look into the mites....ive used lady bugs for spider mites before but they all just fly to the other plants in the yard.. .
Do you have a sprayer?
Atomizer sprayer/fogger is worth the money.
I was told to spray on quarter moons. I use Neem and mix it with Monterey Garden Insect Spary plus a drop of liquid soap or silica, Its got some Spinosad in it.
And I spray Bt on full moons
I have a pump sprayer now and they suck.next year i willget a atomizer since weabout to start budding and i dont spray budding plants
